"Oh, I never said anything about not punishing you. I just wouldn’t break up with you over it," Alex smirked back at Cody, knowing that if it did happen that he’d mostly punish him just because Cody seemed to like it, which made Alex like it in return. It was hard not to like anything that resulted in his boyfriend being under him, or on top of him, or just generally anywhere near him at all. “Yeah? Well I don’t doubt that one bit. Everyone knows you’re amazing at herbology,” Alex smiled, giving Cody’s hand a squeeze and kissing his cheek as they walked to the green house. Alex absolutely never minded going along to the green house to see what Cody was working on most recently, because it truly was incredible to see. How Cody could do what he did was absolutely beyond him. “Merlin, Cody…” Alex said with a low whistle, looking at the enormous plant in front of him. “This is amazing. I could never get the hang of hybrids in class,” he added with a small chuckle, letting go of Cody’s hand to slip an arm around him. “Have you named her?” he asked, making sure to use the same pronoun that Cody had when showing him the plant, because he thought something even as small as that could further show just how proud he was of Cody.

"Good. I'd love the first, the latter not so much." Cody hummed. His smile turned to a grin as he watched Alex's facial expression. Cody was proud, making Alex proud, making him happy in turn. He'd always had a dream that Alex would become some hot shot professional quittich player and he's be St. Mungo's curing the ill and making a medical breakthrough in the wizarding world. The thoughts were private as there was always that edge of insecurity that the young brunette lived with. However, being praised by his ten thousand times better than him boyfriend always makes him feel good enough. "Thank you, babe." He pecked Alex's cheek before grinning. "I have not named her yet. I wanted to give you the honors of doing so." He smiled over at Alex, batting his lashes for good measure. "So, what's her name gonna be, big guy?"

"Mm, I really want to say that I’d break up with you if you did wind up distracting me on the pitch and costing me a game but… let’s be honest, we both know I absolutely wouldn’t," Alex said with a grin, nipping at Cody’s neck. That boy had Alex absolutely wrapped around his finger, and they both knew it fully well. It made sense that Cody and his sister were such good friends, because they both could be conniving little shits when they wanted to be - which was pretty much all the time. That only meant that Cody never ceased to surprise him, including him getting fairly frisky in the hallway, and Alex kissed him back just as eagerly before pulling away all too soon. "Yeah, I much prefer making out over studying…," Alex chuckled, following after Cody. He could certainly wait to continue after what he started to look at Cody’s plants first, especially since seeing Cody so excited over them was absolutely adorable.

Cody chuckled, "Well... I would hope you'd at least punish me a little." He remarked with a little smirk. Cody licked his lips, missing his boyfriend's lips on his already, but he remembered the plants. "Professor says my plant is the best he's seen in his years as a student here and as of teaching. It's growing twice the size of anyone else's and it even has- ugh you'll see it." He said excitedly, reaching to take Alex's hand in his as they made their way to the green house. It was their little thing. Cody was Alex's biggest fan on the field, always supporting him. And Alex would proudly watch as Cody explained all of his different medicinal herbs and healing plants. As they made their way into the green house, Cody was glad to see the lights were dimly lit and the green house quiet. Not many students came in here at the end of classes. "This is her, isn't she beautiful." Cody stood before a large plotted plant, growing larger than the rest, the tips purple. "I made a hybrid. The purple tips can be cut off and it helps with gas and aching stomachs. The best thing is, if cut princely, the purple tips grow back."

Honestly, Alex wouldn’t be surprised in the least if Cody actually did threaten his teammates to try to whip them in to shape. When it came to the other Slytherin’s, they all  knew that Cody was untouchable, unless they wanted to deal with Alex afterwards. Occasionally a team member or housemate would complain about something Cody did or said, but Alex would tell them that he could do what they wanted - but if they so much as touched a single hair on his body or looked at him the wrong way and he found out about it, they’d be dead. And most people knew to take that seriously. “I’m insulted that you think we need you to let us win. That hurts, babe,” Alex said, putting his free hand over his heart to mock looking hurt, but he couldn’t keep up the charade before his boyfriend was pulling him in for a kiss, and of course Alex had to wrap his arms around him. “I honestly don’t care. You could drag me to study with you and I’d still be happy,” Alex mumbled, kissing Cody’s jaw.

"I could so easily distract you out on the pitch." Cody smiled into the kiss. Hearing Alex's answer, Cody hummed and tilted his head slightly as Alex kissed his jaw. "As tempting as studying sounds, I think I'd rather make out with you." He grinned before bringing his other hand to link with the one behind Alex's neck and catching his lips once again. He kissed his boyfriend sweetly at first before he deepened the kiss and moved his body forward slightly to grind against Alex's. As he did that, he pulled back and put on an innocent face. "But first, I want to show you my plants." He grinned wickedly, before wiggling out of Alex's hold and signaling for the other boy to follow him. He knew he was being a tease, but his plants were awesome and he liked making his boyfriend proud.

The only thing that would be able to make Alex even happier than Quidditch practice had was his boyfriend, and while he’d already been planning to look for him when he got back to the castle, he didn’t have to look far at all when Cody met him at the pitch. “Hey,” Alex said with a grin, giving Cody a kiss. When their relationship had first started, Alex was very picky about PDA, but now he couldn’t care less and kissed his boyfriend whenever he pleased. “Tell my team to keep practicing the way they did today and I’m pretty sure this smile will never go away,” Alex said with a chuckle. “Thank you, you’re amazing,” Alex grinned, kissing Cody on the cheek as they began walking towards the castle. He had a tendency to work himself too hard and then not take care of himself afterwards, but Cody was pretty good at keeping him on track. “Practice was incredible, you should’ve seen them out there! I mean, clearly you wouldn’t have liked it, but it’s like they finally started listening to me,” Alex said, his excitement and happiness very evident. Despite being the captain of a different team than his boyfriend was on, all that was felt was a little friendly rivalry between the two - but Alex still fully intended on kicking Hufflepuff’s ass at their next game.

Cody laughed softly, "I'll be sure to threaten them the next time I see them." He winked, grinning because he could and would actually do it. So his threats only worked because people were intimidated of his big bad Slytherin boyfriend, but Cody liked to think it was his puppy dog eyes that did the trick. "I know I am, but it's nice to hear you say it." Cody smiled as he felt Alex's kiss on his cheek. "Oh yeah? Huh. Maybe I can seduce some plays out of you and hand them over to the Hufflepuff captain." Cody teased, grinning as they made it to the main entrance. "You're so cute when you're excited though. I might let all the Quaffles through if it means you'll be smiling." He teased once again, pausing in the corridor they were in and tugging on Alex's arms until they were safely tucked away behind one of the large pillars. "What would you like to do with the rest of our evening, my sweet snake?" He grinned before placing the palm of his hand on the back of his boyfriend's neck and bringing him down for a kiss.

Quality Time

Alex had quite the reputation for being a hard-ass Quidditch captain - and all of those rumors were absolutely true, and he’d admit it. He had absolutely no shame in it at all, even if his teammates sometimes hated him for it. Tonight, though, he was amazingly proud of his team. They were all listening to him, and were all putting out their best without him having to yell until his voice hurt. In fact, they had deserved getting out of practice an hour early, which was something that Alex never did. So needless to say, Alex was in an amazing mood, and couldn’t wait to find his boyfriend and enjoy some quality time with him.

Cody had eventually left the kitchens, sweets stuffed away in his bag. Because, really, if Cody didn't feed Alex, he'd starve. Besides, the house elves loved Cody and they were always up for smuggling him some goods. He was glad, that they were now payed employees, otherwise he'd feel like he was taking advantage of them somehow. No matter, he hurried to the quidditch pitch, rolling his eyes as he past some of the Slytherin team and they made inappropriate comments. If Alex heard them, they'd surely be running laps. But, Cody would be nice and not tattle. All was forgotten when he spotted Alex leaving the dressing rooms, a precious smile on his face. Cody grinned, stopping in front of his boyfriend and wrapping his arms around his middle, bending slightly to snuggle his chest a moment. "I love seeing that smile, you know?" He pulled away, only to hook an arm through Alex's and begin walking back with him to the castle. "Oh, and hi. Oh, and guess what? I got us some goodies because you obviously deserve a treat. I'm assuming practice went well?" He rambled, making sure not to trip over anything as he walked.
