Not really focused on the finer details but looking at the general composition while trying to be loose with form. Inspired by Impressionism to an extent.

A couple of quick gesture drawings, to loosen up. Not worried about about details or colour at this point, just the general shape and form.

I know there will never be a better version than the original, but I thought I’d have a wee go at it! One of my all time favourite songs and I hope you like it too.

Still life squirrel ornament I bought from a charity shop and spray painted black so that I could focus on just tone values. Part of my relearning to draw studies! The real challenge will begin when I introduce colour and multiple objects.

Relearning how to draw, this exercise focused on rendering (colouring-in), light, shadow and various other bits and pieces. Very relaxing and a lot of fun to do!

Two point perspective shapes and shading, trying to improve my sketching skills and at the minute I’m going right back to the fundamentals of drawing. Perspective.
