crazy to me in the fall when roy is telling the story to alexandria how the real world begins blurring into the fantasy he's creating like in the scene where the masked bandit is apologizing to evelyn and he says "I'm sorry" "why?" "I don't want you to see me like this" directly paralleling the real world moment when he's trying to overdose in front of Alexandria and she's questioning the same of him

and it really is a film about how our reality influences our fiction and how alexandria wasn't trying to just save a character in a story she’s grown attached to but the man who is her friend and who she sees in said character and shes his daughter and she loves him she loves him and wants him to live in both the story and real life
