In May of 1973, Ronnie performed âBaby I Love Youâ live on The Midnight Special.
This was Ronnieâs first television appearance since her marriage to Phil had ended; here is a woman who survived the previous seven years in complete isolation and under constant mental abuse from her husband. Once they were married, Phil barred her from singing, recording serious material, and performing. This was the first time most people had seen her publicly since 1968.
