[ Given some thought, the teacher fundamentally seems harmless - yeah, perhaps he himself had over-reacted to the whole ‘April Fool’ thing a bit. Not entirely his fault on account of still being a touch suspicious about his surroundings, granted, though he still probably owes the other the benefit of the doubt. (He did say ‘no offence’ a number of times too, after all - therefore, he’d ultimately done no wrong. Yeah!) He relaxes gradually now, disarmed by that grin more than anything, before letting a rather hearty laugh to escape him; just like that, any ‘offence’ caused is forgotten. ]
…Ne’er mind, a’ight. Guess we can jus’ let bygones be bygones, ‘cause it’s not too hard for me to overlook a bad joke. ‘S cool to meet you, anyway.
[ …And, (ironically) unfortunately for the other, it’s now that Yasuhiro recognises something off about the coinage he’d been given. He at least recognises what he’s been given as coins, yeah, but… Well, to cut a long story short, he’s quite certain that this here isn’t an accepted form of currency where he’s concerned - he’s never even seen this sort of thing before. Now, if he could be confident-enough all the same that these coins would pay for today’s lunch, all would be fine and dandy, but unless Japan had changed currency whilst his back was turned, chances are that these won’t be accepted at the cafeteria. Damn. ]
[ Not that he isn’t ungrateful, though: never before has he found someone who doesn’t meet his offer with so little as an inkling of scepticism. This one seems to have bought it completely. All the same, however, there’s still the problem of the unidentified currency, and so, with his brow furrowing quite prominently, he prods at the coins on his right palm (again with difficulty, the remaining digits of his left hand struggling to keep a hold of the ball). ]
—Wha’s this?
Wheatley nods his head, his long neck making his head seem to sort of bob up and down like a bobble-head doll. The grin remains on his face as he replies.
"Yeah, good. Brilliant. Everything's... everything's a'ight, yeah? Fine and dandy? Swell? Brilliant? I've already said the last one, but either way. But yeah, cool. I'm glad we're good. We are good, aren't we? Ah, I'm sure we are. It's cool to meet you as well, mate!"
When the other asks about the money, though, it puzzles Wheatley. Who doesn't know what pounds are? Did he just come from under a rock or something?
"Well..."
He points at the coins in the man's palm.
"Those are pounds. Y'know? I haven't had a chance to exchange it or anything yet, but I assure you, it's good money. Real, too. Just... I'm sure they'll take it. This is an international school, and no one's said anything to me about my paying in these. So you should be fine, mate. Just go on with the fortuning, yeah?"
Come to think of it, Wheatley's not even sure why he has so many pounds, since Aperture was situated in... well, he's not sure, but based on the accents of everyone else, he's estimated somewhere in the States. Were they being racist?
