his hand turns to hold wolfwood's, fingers locking with fingers and he nods. "I don't want to be alone either" it's been a few days that they have escaped the ark but they both still looked tired. the past few months would stay with them for a while.

vash pulls wolfwood into his room - it is not the first time that they shared a bed, though before it had been out of necessity when the inns had no other room. this is different. this is them seeking each other out. they've been tiptoeing around whatever it is that was going on between them.

they stand in the room for a moment as if waiting for the other to do something. just lay down and sleep back to back or---

they both start at the same time, looking at each other for a moment before vash smiles awkwardly and... he is not sure who kissed whom first. the blond just knows that wolfwood's lips feel right on his and that they are already moving towards the bed, vash hands gliding underneath the other's shirt...

whatever happened tonight they would need to talk about it later. maybe once everything was over, maybe then vash could ask wolfwood to stay with him because he could not imagine a life without nicholas.
