#i know some ppl are upset about this but i'm not.#because fuck if i --- personally --- was the one who decided to built a giant fucking weapon#and use it to destroy a city and become a dictator#my mother wouldn't immediately say#' it's ok sweetie ' either.#never once in my life when i have ever done something wrong ( and i've done a lot lol )#did i ever get consoled before i got punished.#and the truth is that's what kuvira needs first.#she needs to understand the gravity of what she did bc#she didn't surrender bc she felt bad for what she did she surrendered#bc korra proved to be more powerful than her.#so she needs that tough beifong love before any kind of#reconciliation#comes into play.#whereas bataar needed a little bit of that first before facing the 'punishment' the family#will give him --- aka not trusting him. not accepting him readily back into the family.#to me this wasn't su giving bataar family treatment and giving kuvira the opposite.#it was su giving each of them what they needed at the time.#which is different bc they are different ppl.#lok spoilers
