I keep seeing these posts with people saying that your feelings are always valid, and maybe if you’re neurotypical that can be true, but it’s not for me. I have PTSD. I hear fireworks and get terrified. That’s not a valid feeling, nor is it one that I want to be having. I get paranoid for no reason, sad whenever the wind changes, and angry the moment I run out of the energy to calm myself down. My feelings are not always valid. Please know that. I want people to know that.
