pisses me off when people complain nonstop about hannibal & will "not even kissing" in the show or claim the showrunners were cowards for not writing it in. like you idiot. you absolute braindead fool. the entire premise of their relationship is the repression. the fear of allowing yourself to share the ugliest parts of your soul & hoping you will be accepted regardless. of allowing yourself to love a monster while knowing precisely what they are, of not wanting to acknowledge what that might say about you. of knowing deep in your heart that there is no place you can run to that wont lead you back to them, but needing to run either way. this is not a normal romance, it germinated on spilled blood & it will be consummated on spilled blood. at the end they communed in death, as it was always meant to be. whatever direction their relationship might take after that, whatever way they find to express their devotion, it will not be as intimate, as vulnerable, as when they held on to each other with a carcass at their feet.
