Michael Jackson x broadway reader
description: The nerves of being the lead in a broadway musical freaks you out but the sight of a familiar pair of brown orbs (lol) melt those feelings away.
warnings: slight angst
“Jamie is killing me with the yelling, like girl calm down we are all professionals,” your costar Mark says.
A few words of agreement and some affirmations bounce around the room but you are laser focused. A large vanity sits in front of you, and you peer into it only to find someone else. Everyday for the past 10 months you’ve learned changing completely into the role of Glinda the Good but sitting there with only an hour to showtime pieces if you break the illusion.
“I need some air,” you announce, pushing yourself up from the chair. You aren’t able to hear what your colleagues say but it didn’t matter. You pace through the backstage hallways nodding politely at people rushing past. You glide up the stairs and sit on the roof.
You know the disconnect, it pierces you straight through the heart. Your big break here and the person who supported you the most isn’t able to come to the show. “Michael’s schedule is too busy, he will cause a scene, he has to practice for his own tour,” Michael’s agents told you in Vegas. When you went to protest to him, he had already gotten on a flight as to not have to face you.
You feel the tears well up in your eyes but you hold your head up to fight them back. When you were casted he was so happy for you. You two were in his garden when you got the call, he held you and rocked you back and forth with glee. He knew you would have to move to New York and supported the journey helping you find a nice New York townhome. He promised to visit every weekend, that turned into every few weeks, then once a month, and that turned into a call every once in a while when he picked up.
You realized the end was near, and you had no regrets. Moving to New York for Broadway wasn’t about your talent. It was about making a name for yourself. If you ever got the clearance from his label to go public with your relationship, you knew any talent you had would be whittled down to him. When he stopped visiting you cried. Sometimes when the rehearsals felt too hard you would call to ask for advice just to hear a voicemail of his bodyguard. Worst part was you couldn’t blame him. The biggest pop star in the entire world chose you and you had to choose yourself, eventually you knew he’d move on. Feeling the cold air on your skin soothed the heat of your emotions, and no matter what, the show must go on. You turned back in, with 45 minutes to start.
Hair and makeup came to do final touches and your cast mates ate up the rest of your time cracking jokes and taking turns freaking out. You tape the mic to your forehead, attached was a small earbud. “PLACES EVERYBODY GET TO MAIN STAGE 5 MINUTES TO SHOW START,” a voice shouted in your ear. You winced at the sound, it was the first show of the season. Your contract was only for seven months, 8 shows a week makes about 224 shows. You were 1/224. The show must go on.
You took your mark on stage and smiled at your crew members as they set the stage. The curtains pull up and your eyes are drawn to a pair of eyes you spent months dreaming about. Your muscle memory luckily saved you by starting the dances letting your mind catch up. You feel a surge of adrenaline rush through you with the idea that he’s watching you. You push the octaves up, hit the moves harder and your stage presence is an overall ten. You approach an on stage freeze and you purposefully stand behind a prop still facing the crowd.
You first notice his eyes. The piercing brown gaze meets yours and your breath hitches. He’s wearing make up, a long wig and a dark hoodie. He winks at you, a subtle confirmation that it is him. You blush and step into the light and belt your heart out. The rest of the show goes perfectly. You enter the side door and meet with fans, sign autographs and kiss babies heads. After a long night you leave the theater, you were invited to a party but there’s something more important on your mind.
If you knew Michael, you know he would be at a KFC and there was one walking distance from the theatre. Sure enough sitting in a corner, wearing a dingy hoodie and sweats, is your man eating a three piece. You put on sunglasses and sit next to him. “Well, well, well, what’s a man like you doing hiding out in New York?,” you ask. He snickers at your joke but doesn’t respond out of fear of being recognized. He slips you a note on a napkin. ‘Will you come to my hotel?’
You nod. He takes your hand and leads you to an unassuming car. He notice at least 8 body guards following you out. In the car he pulls off his wig and lets out a sigh. “You were incredible,” he mumbles. You exchange the small talk until you arrive at the hotel. Walking off the elevator to the room all the confidence you had earlier washes away. You start to sweat with anxiety, your thoughts overwhelm you before he even unlocks the door. Pulling you away from your thoughts is his hand taking yours.
“It’s just me, just Mikey,” he tells you.
“I know”
“Sooooo, how have you been since Vegas?” He leads the conversation. You open up to him about your fears and hopes. A flood of emotions from both parties finally settled and before you know it the sun dawns a new day.
“I would hate to leave you but I have to sleep before tomorrow,” you inform him.
“I understand, I just wanted to know if you’d stay with me tonight. As friends of course,” he asks. You grab his face and swipe some loose curls from his face. “I’d love to.”

A Very Abbott fanfiction ✨
description: a cute story about you and Tyler being in live spilling the beans on your relationship. Not proofread, first fanfic since like middle school. Give me some feedback and leave some requests
warnings : cursing, suggestive conversations (pretty mild imo)

“You think we should start now Ty?” You ask.
“I’m pretty sure you already started it babe,” Tyler chuckles . You look up at the phone and make a face.
“Well shit, I ain’t know it was that easy,” you say. Quickly reaching to adjust your hair, you look on the screen and see the number of viewers rapidly climbing.
“Baby look at this,” you motion towards Tyler, and he leans over into view and the chat blows up even more. You turn to grab your remote to turn the volume off your tv down.
“You want some background noise or you good?” You ask. “Uhhh yeah some music would be nice just to have” he responds.
Turning on some Michael Jackson, you start to look through the chat. Most of the comments are just people being surprised about your relationship. Tyler privately asked you to be exclusive after two months of dating, and last night he just made it public.
“Everybody saying they ain’t know we was together, like yall ain’t see his speech?” He laughs beside you. Pushing over the pillows he squeezes himself behind you and grabbing you to lay you down on his lap. After situating yourselves comfortably, a comment catches your eye.
“am I the only one who missed this completely??” - tylersmustachehairs.1 You read it out loud, looking at Tyler’s reaction. His eyes shift down to you, with his cheeks forming a warm smile. Randomly he just leans down to kiss your forehead.
“You guys didn’t miss anything you just didn’t know,” you start, “me and Tyler started talking after season one of Abbott wrapped up I think.”
“A little afterwards but yes, I got her number from Quinta who did an actors on actors with her,” Tyler says. It’s a hilarious story from his side, hearing how nervous he was that you took a while to respond.
“Damn so she don’t be texting back” you read from the chat, “No you guys, I was literally on set trying to text him, like we wasn’t allowed to really have phones on my set. I can’t say much but just know if I had a cell phone anywhere near the piece I was getting chewed out.”
Picking up back where he left off he talks about planning the first date, a high class Chicago restaurant and how he choose it to be fancy but couldn’t stomach anything. He talks about how the both of you chose to ditch the restaurant and go to a late night diner and laughed over milkshakes. Even though you literally lived this story it was so good to listen to. Especially since his voice made it easy to hear over and over again.
“So yall really been together for months and ain’t said nothing?” You read, “No it’s not like that. We both agreed to keep it between us.”
“That was until I saw people trying to set you up with Michael B Jordan, all because you sat next to him at an award show,” Tyler interjects sounding slightly annoyed, “I saw that on one of the blogs and it was done. I planned to ask her to be my girlfriend that night.”
Tyler continues with the story of being exclusive, rushing over to your hotel in the early hours of the morning. His heart pounding with glee and fear over your response, luckily your security was gentle with him and let him through. Opening your door he stood there with roses and dropped to the floor from exhaustion, he asked you to be his girlfriend.
You giggled to yourself at the memory, from your point of view he showed up unexpectedly and held onto to you like you would disintegrate at any moment. “I think I was more so startled by you than turned on,” you joked.
Tyler snapped his head towards you, “No don’t do that. The moment you said yes I turned you out over that whole room.” You blushed from his words, the memory came flooding back to you. If you weren’t on live you might’ve let him take you on the couch, “And mind you this happened like a few weeks ago. So we just publicly announced it last night on the carpet.”
“Your feed has gotten better, is Tyler taking your photos?” Another commenter asks.
“Yea I’ve been taking her recent photos, that one of her on the pier that was me,” Tyler rambles a bit on his favorite photos he took of you. Just admiring him from below, the chat definitely took note of it. All the comments are talking about how in love you look and how good of a couple you look. A few hours later you’ve answered several questions about your personal life, his personal life, Abbott question's, and some questions about each others pets and you were beat.
“I love talking to y'all but I am so tired and this live is like 3 hours long. I promise I will talk to y’all again soon,” you finish. Wrapping up the live you put your phone on the charger. Tyler shuffles into the kitchen to put on some tea. Without saying a word, you sneak up on him and hug him from behind. A wordless display of love flows between the two of you. Standing in your apartment, rocking back and forth listening to the sounds of the busy streets below, you both get ready for bed.
