Vishakhatantra Headcanon #6.1: The Seven questions
I have been out for... IDK, three years because I lost inspiration. I almost deleted everything but I didn't. So Here I am, looking through my notes and some reblog suggested that a post should exist on the "Seven Questions" asked during sorting. So here is what I came up with.
The questions asked in the Vishakhatantra sorting have been the same for centuries, but no one could crack the code to cheat their way through a specific house because the psychic link formed with the student and the inquisitor breaks and erases all memories of the question as soon as the student steps out from the ablutionary pool, filled with Truth Serum.
along with seven questions these factors come to play:
Ascendant: Which sign was rising in the East when one was born and where the house lord is placed. Usually House lord placed in own house, 10th, 9th, 11th places one in houses of Sun, Jupiter and Mars.
Day of Birth: Seven days a week, each day is governed by Planet. Thus it is taken into consideration
Place of Sun: Sun in 1st, 5th, 9th, 10th house, exalted, aligned with Mars or Jupiter places one in house of Mars and Sun. Sun in 7th, 6th, 4th is placed in houses of Venus or Moon. If sun is afflicted, they usually go with Saturn
Place of Moon: An exalted and Debilitated moon determines the place highly amongst all. An exalted Moon in Taurus, Cancer moon usually goes with the house of Moon or Mercury. Afflicted moons usually suffer from emotional excess. They are usually taken by Jupiter and Saturn to control their own mind.
The questions are meant to be answered with one word, and the response extracted from the students are their deepest, most raw self.

Why do you feel? (Cause of Sacral Chakra)
What becomes strength? (triggers Solar Plexus)

Sorting in Vishakhatantra is both where one fits, what one possesses but yet to discover and what one has the potential to become. Even if someone fits for the House of Sun with all good dignity of Sun and Ascendant Lord but is afflicted by arrogance and idleness, he will be sent to the house of Mars or Saturn to hone hardship and discipline. Thus, despite not every house being designed for specific qualities, every house has the potential to produce unique individuals despite what they stand for
