im doing okay, ive been taking time off for recreational time. ill do drafts and starters (if i muster the mental power to) tonight. ive just been really mentally exhausted lately and it feels so nice to come home after work and relax :)

What’s fun is I picked up Kamski because he’s similar enough to Viv for me to write, but also different enough to be a completely unique experience and it’s fun. It just gets me down how she gets treated sometimes because of the OC status

yeah i picked up on my rk900 bc its basically an oc, its just the fact that its labeled ‘canon’ that people FLOCK to my blog, like kamski and rk900s and pretty much 100% headcannon driven, people act like they dont personally invest themselves into their muses either, whether canon or oc and its a very funny concept to me

I have this issue on my oc as well. :c it’s sad cause I’ve written her for years

its just, so stupid. people pour their hearts into characters, but the SECOND a canon character does a shitty or stupid thing/isnt known about and someone makes a blog about that character thats basically a oc due to the amount of headcannons needed to run that character, THEY’RE SO RAD SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!

ocs are. significantly shunned in almost every rpc i’ve been in and i think it’s because we’re just leaving the REALLY BAD era of self-inserts and ‘mary sues’ ( i hate that term so much ). so people have been wary of ocs considering what they’ve seen in the past, and we need to learn to put all of that behind us. i wish it wasn’t like that 'cause i personally LOVE ocs but y'know. people suck

imo the really bad era of self inserts was 3 years ago, literally all people need to do is click the about page and they’d realize my oc is literally a gay police officer like, how is that a mary sue in anyway

its so stupid to me how people automatically assume shit, as a good rper you’re SUPPOSE to read abouts and rules before u follow people, but people just see oc and go oh????? gross??????? im just

i’ve spent 11 years developing a heavy story ridden and specific personality just for it to be told that ocs are basically garbage and people view them as self-inserts or trash on here???
