I know a lot of people don't like Claude//leth because of Claude springing his leaving on Byleth out of nowhere in their S support, but I actually really like how the two of them live their respective lives as rulers even though they have to spend a lot of their time very far apart. It gives Byleth a lot of independence as a character while still respecting Claude's own ideals and dreams. The writers could've EASILY had it to where Byleth or Claude leave their positions to someone else to stay with each other, but this direction is so much more interesting and nice for them!
NO FOR REAL and this is why it's so weird to me for people to get mad about that because he was pretty clear about the fact that he had goals in his other home throughout the entire route! i like the fact that they're both choosing to take on these responsibilities of leadership because they want to bring about a new era for fodlan and the rest of the world. it shows the strength of their friendship and i think it's also a more grounded and realistic endingâthey're two adults who are making a mature decision for themselves and their people. and the end card implies that they weren't apart for that long and when you look at it next to claude's other endings, it basically looks like claude did an almyran throne no glitch speedrun so he could get back to byleth faster than any other love interest. some people don't stan a power couple but it's not our fault we're right
plus, tell me this isn't the best s-support art in the game. you can't <3
I'm happy to share one of the pieces I created for New Dawn: A Golden Deer Zine! It was inspired by Claude x Byleth's A support conversation in the game. It was a lot of fun being a part of this collaborative project with so many talented artists/writers!
Leftover sales for this zine are now live! Snag a copy or some other GD goodies like washi tape, mousepads, prints, and keychains here
claude genuinely likes byleth that's so sweet I LOVE YOU CLAUDE
i know im like five years late but my favorite thing about claudeleth is that he has this epic rebellious plan to unite his people with his mother's people, and he's put six years of work into it and if he was smart he'd keep it to himself until the time was right, but he tells byleth. he tells byleth immediately, without prompting, because he trusts them and knows that he needs their help. and before he leaves to go home to his parents, before he goes off to start the final step of his grand plan, he stops and tells byleth that he loves them, and promises to come back, and then he keeps that promise. he unites the continent in peace because it's for the good of the people to not choose between suffering through war or under the rule of a fascist church. but he never once lets that come in between him and byleth. never ONCE. he's a trope that is literally built on angst and duty but literally the moment he realises that byleth is a good person he's like oh. yeah no thanks i'm all in.
made a whole additional think for my pirate-mermaid-claudeleth au thing . should there be speech bubbles? absolutely. are there none bc i couldnt aesthetically put them in? absolutely. under the cut cause it's one big thing
I think, ironically, the reason I prefer Claude and Byleth over Byleth with any other lord is because Claude is the only one with whom Byleth is truly an individual. A major aspect to their growth is Claude no longer seeing Byleth as simply a part of his world and instead seeing her as someone with her own aspirations and goals (finding Rhea) that he wants to support too. Dimitri is consumed by grief and rage, so Byleth becomes a mere extension of that and an eventual way out for him rather than her own person. Edelgard needs Byleth in a similar way that Claude initially thinks he needs Byleth: as a sword. A metaphorical representation of her dream, realized. Claude is the one with whom Byleth truly grows and is her own. I wonât pretend Claude doesnât use Byleth to an extent (essentially forcing her into the throne), but I feel Byleth demonstrates numerous times that Claudeâs goal is one that she supports because she believes in it, rather than her simply dedicating herself to him. She believes in his dream, just like he does.

Happy Anniversary FE3H! đđ
5 years of shipping these two and loving the Golden Deer đ
How funny that she never considered that.
This is cute art. I understand if people prefer them to be friends by the end of it all (I donât mind), but on the basis that she will stop liking him if he liked her back? Thatâs not the reason she falls in love with him. She loves him for his daring and his pure thoughts to do whatâs right. There are more men in OP that arenât attracted to her either, but you donât see her lovesick. Itâs Luffy specifically that she is attracted to.
If ever they do just stay friends, Boa Hancock would have to overcome her âlove sicknessâ (mind you, itâs an actual illness for the Kuja) and she would have to be fine and accept that. I think that is a possibility if you want them to be friends, but imo thatâs the only reason she would stop loving him. Or Luffy stops being luffy.
Salome, the personal snake weapon of the Pirate Empress Boa Hancock
Do you ever noticed how mature Luffy acts when he's only around Hancock?
Can you draw luffy blushing at boa Hancock smiling
"Nothing more beautiful than a smile" â¤ď¸đ
I know it took a long time for me to answer only with a sketch, but I kind felt like it suit them more for this!!! Hope you like it!
Boa's confession to Luffy :) I just heard this audio on Instagram and decided to make a reel of it haha.
this is so good
do you think Boa Hancock would have been as half as interesting if she didn't have the mero mero fruit? cause I don't know about you, but if it hadn't been for that ability, her attitude would have rubbed everyone the wrong way a long time ago. I feel she's got a lot of "growing up" to do despite her age and status.
I disagree with whatâs being put forward here. First off, I donât believe that Hancockâs powers are what make people attracted to her. By saying. âif it werenât for her ability,â youâre supposing that itâs her DF power that makes people enamored with her and lets her get away with so much stuff. However, if that were the case why did her powers have no effect of Luffy? People will answer that itâs because Luffyâs asexual, which IMO is true. However, with regards to being immune to Hancockâs powers, how is being asexual any different from being a straight woman? Why would Hancockâs powers make straight women attracted to her, but fail to work on someone asexual? Neither one of them are attracted to women, right? My answer is that Hancockâs powers donât change whether or not people are attracted to herâplain and simple. Take the women of Amazon Lily. They are of a culture that believes that strength is beauty. Thatâs why Sandersonia and Marigold get the exact same treatment that Hancock herself gets
The women of Amazon Lily donât act this way to the two younger Boa sistersâfawning over their every motion and talking about them with hearts in their voicesâbecause of Hancockâs DF power. They do it because they find their strength beautiful. And Hancock herself is the most powerful person theyâve ever seen, so itâs no surprise that they are so heavily enamored with her. Regardless of what Devil Fruit power she had, or even if she had no DF power at all, so long as sheâs powerful the people of the island wouldnât change how they feel about her. Hancockâs DF power doesnât make people attracted to her. It just lets her turn the people who are attracted to her into stone in a heartbeat.
Second, and more importantly, I do not like the idea that Hancockâs attitude is something she just needs to âgrow upâ from, rather than something she deliberately does as a coping mechanism, and as a tool to advantage and protect herself and her sisters.
Do you think Hancock actually believes this? Because I donât. If Hancock believed that everyone loved her unconditionally and that she could do whatever the hell she wants because sheâs beautiful, then why would she also say things like this?
To me, Hancockâs vanity is a shieldâused to cast herself as invulnerable and without weakness. Something she does to help her and her sisters fool the people of Amazon Lily, fool the Marines, fool other pirates. Sheâs not immatureâsheâs guarded. She believes that if she shows weakness, that if the truth about her history as a slave was revealed, people would hate her, betray her, reject her, or seek to hurt her. Hancock and her sisters were completely helpless to the abuse and the torture of the Celestial Dragons, and once they escaped they made sure to never let anyone see them as anything but insurmountably strong, both physically and emotionally.
People latch onto Hancock as âman hating,â and indeed she is, but for the most part she treats men and women alikeâmanipulating them, keeping them at a distance, and not hesitating to turn anyone who opposes her to stone. However, Amazon Lily is her home, and her all female subjects alone are loyal to her, and thus she speaks of hating men, which to the people of Amazon Lily, effectively means âoutsiders.â Additionally, itâs always been men who have tried to hurt Hancock and her sisters in the worst ways. It was men who kidnapped them, men who tortured and abused them for years, and men who continue to harass her.
Pirate or Marine, the men that Hancock meets are gross as hell to her. Even after making it brutally clear to the Marines that she would kill any one of them in a heartbeat, some of them still went and tried to spy on her. Rather than being arrogant, demanding, and cruel to these people, what would you have her do? Be nice to them and ask them politely not to slobber all over her? Sheâs a pirate and an empress, not a woman at a bar looking for dates. She acts cute or confident, depending on what the situation calls for, in order to manipulate people to do what she needs them to, but the rest of the time sheâs pretty damn clear about wanting these people to keep the hell away from her. If theyâre going to disrespect her regardless, I donât blame her for kicking their heads off.
So no. I do not think that Hancock needs to âgrow up.â You said âdespite her statusâ as though thatâs not something she took for herself. At only age 18 she went on a brutal campaign in order to become a Shichibukai to gain protection for herself, her sisters, and all of Amazon Lily. Living with your guard constantly up, mistrusting and using everyone, is not a good way to live, but it is something born from tremendous trauma and self preservation, NOT immaturity. Hancock may have an immature sense of how romantic relationships work, but thatâs it. She isnât some ungrateful brat who was handed the world on a silver platter and thinks she still deserves more. She suffered unspeakable horrors that scarred her and used raw power and calculated manipulation to gain security for herself and her sisters, rest of the world be damned. This is why I love Luffyâs relationship with her. By being so selfless and accepting with her, he proved himself to be a ray of good that allowed her to be open and honest with him. He helped to ease her traumas and let her feel at peace with him, something she had no chance to do with anyone aside from her sisters.
It bothers me that some people look at Hancock and rather than see her as calculated and coldâa deeply scarred survivor of horror doing whatever it takes to protect herself and her little sisters, using her beauty to manipulate enemies and allies alike for her own purposesâthey see someone âimmatureâ who needs to âgrow up.â Hancock is aware of the effect she has on other people, and she uses it to her advantage. But because sheâs a woman using her beauty itâs classified as immature? No thank you. I canât imagine another pirate who successfully gets Marines to happily hand over their own cargo being told he needs to grow up. I respect and sympathize with Hancock for surviving what sheâs been through and using the tools at her disposal to protect herselfâusing her strength to pull herself up to the status of a living legend.
SPEAK ON IT đŻ
Recently got into One Piece and she really clicked with me. Sheâs one of my favorite female OP characters of all time. I looked up peopleâs opinions of her online and itâs honestly sad to see how many ppl hate on her for (imo) superficial reasons that are usually obvious gags or misinterpretation of actions.
If you realize how much trauma can change a person and how much strength it takes to continue protecting the people closest to you while putting up a strong front even if you wanna d!e, then i think you could really appreciate her character and understand that although she can be brutal, she isnât unreasonable.
Admittedly, I also love yennefer of vengerberg so I clearly love female characters like her and hancock lol.
Extra: Some ppl say sheâs a pedo cause she loves luffy bother me. She didnât like him for his age and we could debate whether her love is real or not, but the fact is her love for him is always presented as innocent and wholesome. She likes him for his personality which is one of the purest reasons to love someone imo.
