1. Tries to join a villain group based on Stain (good idea), immediately tries to set the leader on fire, almost gets disintegrated (poor execution).
2. Sets a nomu loose in the High End fight which almost kills Endeavor (would defeat the point of his long-term revenge as he hasn’t exposed him yet), almost kills Hawks (who he is trying to snare as an ally/expose), and also gives the heroes vital intel on how future nomu will look in more important fights. Also he shows up in front of Endeavor (if he got recognized, it wouldn’t really help his revenge long-term?). This also could have led Hawks to just straight up kill him because he’s a danger to Hawks’ cover. (Very poor execution)
Edit: He could have used the anxiety about All Might’s retirement and Endeavor becoming #1 to do his exposé then? And been like “this is your number 1?” Instead the nomu fight solidifies Endeavor’s reputation with the public.
3. Fails to help the LOV secure gigantomachia. Instead he leaves to convince Hawks to join.
4. Which yes, Hawks joining does allow him to expose the hypocrisy of heroes to some extent BUT it also causes major intel leaks (the entire reason that the PLF HQ gets attacked) AND gets Twice killed. The guy who is considered the cinch point of the entire league’s plan because if he is around then the heroes cannot win/effectively fight Tomura.
5. The video he makes (good idea) is largely negatively perceived not for Endeavor so much as Dabi because he causes gigantomachia to destroy a ton of towns along the way. Which means he gets no public sympathy for his cause. (BAD execution). Endeavor and Hawks don’t face a ton of personal backlash, mostly people demanding to know what they will do about the villains.
6. Twice’s death and the trajectory the PLF HQ attack puts them on ultimately results in Toga leaving the party, Compress getting heavily injured and arrested, and Spinner almost getting arrested. And basically all the major PLF members getting arrested (almost 17,000 arrested, only ~130 escape)?

It’s like he’s smart in theory, but has such incredibly poor impulse control that he literally cannot stop sabotaging himself and the LOV. Which tbh tracks with his personality.
