Some people are artists. Some, themselves, are art.

“You need to know though, I am a person that doesn’t leave easily. People that get me interested in them always have a hard time getting rid of me.” With a slight hint of playfulness in her tone, Tamara gave a little nudge to the other female’s shoulder. Hopefully it would ease her a bit, the younger noticed that the other was not all too fond of talking about her sensitive topic. “Yes, sure.” The younger girl took a loose grip of Hwayoung’s hand and gently tugged her along. As they reached their chosen place, she let go of her hand and let herself drop onto one of the chairs.
Hwayoung followed the other girl as she took her by the hand and let her to their table. Upon arrival, she chose a chair on the opposite side of the table. "Thank you for saying that." She looked down at her hands for a second before looking the Tamara in the eyes, flashing her white teeth in a smile. "What would you like to drink? I'll treat today." She said, opening the menu herself to look for a drink that would fit her current mood.
"Life without you would be like a broken pencil... pointless. Got a sharpener doll face? I'd appreciate it."
"A sharpener? Let me see." Hwayoung looked for her purse, hiding her face and cheeks flashing a soft red. When she’d found it, she looked for the small object. "Euhm.. I’m sorry, I don’t seem to have one on me."

"If you place your fingers wrongly, you might get a scar." Hwayoung said, looking at Sulli carefully. She was trying to teach her how to cook, but the other girl was holding the knife in such a manner that she might cut off her fingers instead of the carrots. “Have you ever cooked before?” She tilted her head slightly to the side, genuinely curious about the other’s cooking experience. “You know, if you hold it like this, it will be much easier.” She gently took hold of the younger girl’s hand and showed her how to hold the knife. “There, that’s it. Now it might take some practice, but you might be chopping veggies like a master chef soon!”
Sulli then shook her head immediately after being asked by the other female if she has cooked before. “No..” she said while pouting her lips and still looking a bit clueless of how she going to slice the carrots. “Well…I have only baked cookies in my whole life. And yeah…I don’t have any experience it cooking yet, until now. I guess it’s really different from each other” she explained as the other girl was positioning her hands in the right way of chopping the carrots. “Thanks for the help. Looks like I need to enroll for some cooking lessons” she let out a soft chuckle in embarrassment.
"Don't worry, I'll teach you as much as I know." Hwayoung chuckled and turned towards the fridge to grab some tomatoes. "We'll start with a salad. Nothing that could really go wrong there." She placed the tomatoes on the counter and grabbed a knife herself. "Just finish chopping the carrots while I chop the tomatoes, and then we'll slowly go to the next step, okay?" She flashed the other girl a warm smile to comfort her, and started cutting.

"Me?" She smiled fixing her bag. "I’m Sakura. Who might you be?" She said watching the female.
"Nice to meet you Sakura. That's a beautiful name. Is it Japanese?" Hwayoung smiled back at the other girl. "I'm Hwayoung."

Tamara nodded firmly. “He is, he is also very proud of his little girl. And ah- I’m not even that beautiful.” The young girl felt as if her cheeks were burning up. Sure it wasn’t the first time she got complimented, but she simply could not get used to it. At all. “Sure, sure. We will get comfortable and talk about it all while warming us up with something nice to drink.” She gave the other a warm smile and let her hand brush against her shoulder, trying to make it somewhat comforting. “Well, I want to get to know you. And I guess that sad story goes with it.” Following her inside, Tamara took of her coat as well but didn’t get rid of the scarf. She would use it as a little blanket later. “Mh, sure, these are always the best.” She hummed, immediately catching a free table in the corner of her eyes. Turning a little, she pointed at it. “How about that one?”
"I'm happy to hear that," Hwayoung nodded and smiled warmly at the other girl. "At least you'll know the worst part about me first, so if you want to leave you'll be on time." She laughed bitterly again. She seemed to do that a lot lately, maybe it was her nervousness, maybe because she didn't actually enjoy talking about the subject. Her eyes looked where Tamara was pointing, and the corner of her mouth went up in a slight and barely visible smile. "Looks perfect." She walked for the other to start walking. "Shall we?"

✘ The Gangnam Avenue - Orange Caramel
'You said you had something to say, so I dressed up' Hwayoung texted, disappointed that Nahyun had let her down. 'You said it was important.' Another text message. The girl was lying on her stomach on her bed, a pillow propped up under her chest for comfort. She was anxiously looking at her phone. Things always went like this. Hwayoung would finally have a day of off work, she’d decide on staying in her pyjamas all day and rest, and then Nahyun would text her. So like always, Hwayoung got dressed, went to their usual meeting place - a café at shopping centre nearby - and wait for an hour before she realized her friend wouldn’t come any more. 'If you want to talk, you'll have to come to my place.' She was upset. Angry. Mostly at herself for buying into it again.
It doesn’t matter who you are, we all have our scars.
