"Mommy!" The pixie buzzed straight to Asuna's shoulder and nestled up against her neck. "I always miss you when you have to go away…"
Yui tugs on Kirito's sleeve. "Daddy, please, you're pushing yourself too hard…"
He looked over at Yui “I’m just trying to get stronger to protect you guys..”
"It won't matter how strong you are if you hurt yourself! You need to take care of yourself too, okay?"

This program was strange… This whole world was strange… It wasn’t like Kanto… Fairies? Missing stared at the pixie like program in front of him, before hesitantly raising a hand, and waving.
"Huh? Wait, where…?" Upon noticing the unusual-looking character, Yui flew straight into a tree.
It didn't hurt, of course. She hadn't been programmed to feel pain. All the same, she winced and rubbed her head. "What was that? One moment I was just fine and the next I didn't even know where I was…" She looked closer at the one that had signaled to her. "What are you?" she asked.
"Um… w-well, yes, but…" She stared back and forth between them. "He has exactly the same data and stats as you do, Daddy. It doesn’t look like there’s any difference."
"…And you’re sure about this?" He looked to his double, staring at him in shock. He slowly craned his neck back to Yui."
"…How is that possible?"
"I don't know… I've never seen anything like this before. I've got a bad feeling, though."
"I don't know what will happen if you fight him."
"Wait a minute, do I have two daddies now?"
"No. That other… me, is just some kind of mob. Isn’t it? You can tell the difference between hostile entities, and players, right, Yui?"
"Um… w-well, yes, but…" She stared back and forth between them. "He has exactly the same data and stats as you do, Daddy. It doesn't look like there's any difference."
"Wait a minute, do I have two daddies now?"
i think there should be AU’s and then there should be UA’s
because Universe Alterations would be a good name for when your characters are in the exact same universe but you’re altering just a couple of plot points or a few character traits

In one of my groups I've proposed a similar distinction but called it alternate universe vs. subverse, based first on when and then on how much the plot diverges relative to the current canon. It really does help.

"Hold on a second, it’s not like I try to have that stuff happen and they totally were not flirting."
