[{ 🗡️ }] - "You're confusion is to be expected. But, if this was all a joke, I wouldn't even be here."
Anyone who heard about someone traveling to another world through a portal would think it's a joke. In a normal context, anyone would be quick to disbelieve what he was saying, portal travel wasn't exactly something anyone would take at face value so easily, even in a futuristic world like this one, not all advancements in technology could ever fully comprehend portal travel, not as a whole, there was a lot more to it than people thought. The half-devil couldn't just travel anywhere (technically he could, but the last thing he wanted to do was step into an unknown world, completely unprepared, even for someone as powerful as he was, Vergil still wasn't going to flaunt his power carelessly.)
Suddenly, before anything else could be said, there was a loud sound coming from the ventilation air shaft above them immediately capturing the attention of both parties, blue eyes darted to look up at the air vent, so that was where that unusual energy was coming from, it felt like the looming feeling of death, just what exactly was that thing? Whatever it was, one thing was for certain - it was sure as hell, not a demon, he would have been able to pick them up in an instant had that been the case.
[{ 🗡️ }] - "Very well. Lead the way."
Vergil replies, his tone easily more calm, and collected than hers as he invites her to take charge since she obviously knew this place far better than him since this was her world after all. That being said, Vergil was quick to follow her lead, trailing closely behind her as they moved to try to avoid whatever it was inside the ventilation shaft. Unfortunately, it didn't take long for him to get his answer. Moments after they reached the doors down the long hall, the vent tube broke, and down came an unsightly creature.
From what he could see, this vile creature looked like a heavily deformed human being, with an abundance of fleshy gore, and sharp blade-like appendages protruding from its limbs, whatever this was, it had clearly lost all sense of humanity, nothing but a foul beast with an insatiable quench for blood, it's cracked and misshapen skin being the only vague idea that this was once a human was left -- whatever this was, it was a truly disgusting and repulsive creature of horrific proportion - the distinct lack of humanity momentarily reminding him of Urizen, only he was a lot more intelligent than these things by a long shot.
Even in the presence of such a creature, Vergil was calm, not even intimidated by its gross and grotesque appearance, and monstrous form. His eyebrows furrow in confusion as he's suddenly handed the cyber weapon or whatever it was -- did she really not see the katana he was holding in his left hand tucked in its sheath?
Vergil just shook his head and quickly handed her blade back to her, he didn't need her weapon, not when his blade could cut through anything. With a grin, he takes a step forward as the creature shrieks and begins to charge him, piercing blue eyes watching as it lunges forward.
[{ 🗡️ }] - "Keep your weapon, I have my own."
The exact second this creature was inches within his reach, Vergil simply pushed up the blade from the scabbard with his thumb. Right after, Vergil threw up his arm, parrying the creature's attack with a hard impact of his Yamato sheath, as the monster was still reeling from the parry, staggering back due to Vergil's inhuman strength, he pulled the blade out of its sheath, swinging his sword wildly, his blade targeting its limbs just as she had instructed him.
Within seconds, the creature was frozen in place, almost like it was a mere fixture in time. Turning his back to the beast, he drags his blade along the side of the scabbard before sliding it back in, stopping just before the hilt, with a flash of silver and a loud click, in a second, the creature exploded into a bloody mess, limbs, blood and gore staining the metal ground around them. To a human eye, his movements were all seen within a blur of midnight blue, with flashes of silver and glowing bright blue energy.
Just like that, the coast was clear, and any immediate danger was quickly eliminated, aside from how different these were from demons, they were nothing, as Vergil didn't even break a sweat.
[{ 🗡️ }] - "That's a shame. I expected more of a challenge from these things. But they are nothing more than mindless mongrels.."
