There's a 3 month long charity event where a reward is a familiar on flight rising - possibly opening up the possibility to do more charity events similar later on

The site is not opening up micro transactions

The site isn't using FOMO tactics. It's a 3 month (90 day) charity event with a reward.

The charity gets the money funded by the event. The 2.50 USD goes to the charity if you buy it.

It's 2.50 USD.

You can buy more than one, yes, but people already have a system set up to help players get a single version of the familiar for the FR Currency equivalent

It's not funding the actual site.
