I, can be really awful about actually doing things, even and especially if theyre things i WANT to do. If I mention I'm drawing something but it's gone unposted, or you sent me something or an ask and I didn't respond within like. A week. Poke me with a stick, I not only encourage this but I want you to do so. Art does not take me long if im actually drawing. I'm also super forgetful and WILL guilt myself into never responding if I took too long in my mind. So I'm telling you. And I Don't Want To See It Anymore. And I definitely absolutely do not want to hear it called vital. I'm not having any boyfailure Jason fun at all until there's a SIGNIFICANT SHIFT in his common portrayals both by comics and fans

what are your thoughts on task force z? iirc it was written by rosenberg but i thought it was not too bad, ive seen generally positive opinions of rosenberg amongst my circle of jason fans so i'm curious as to why you dislike him or his writing

The prequel series, "What the hell is task force z" or whatever it was called already managed to annoy me by having Jason order an incredible amount of food, barely eat any of it, and then left to make the random reporter he'd been talking to pay the bill

The Jaybin short story which iirc was between tfz issues in terms of order of release made my impression go from bad to even worse.

Im half asleep but just. Augh. A very important thing for me in Jason's writing is for him to be competent. It can add or remove So Many points of my enjoyment with any comic. Very major factor. A blatantly bad Jason interpretation i can still find alot joy in if it lets Jason just be so skilled and succeeding

Rosenberg also takes great joy in making Jason incredibly impulsive...? Im not sure if thats what i mean for tfz. Jason is written fueled by pure emotion rather than thought. Any thought at all. He digs his heels in hard to keep doing something stupid and useless thats gonna blow up in his face whenever anyone questions him. And then its all for nothing at all. And this gets compounded by the fact rosenberg always writes Jason as like this and never lets him succeed

Tfz gave jason fucking double crowbars as his weapon arsenal

Tfz was the first comic in which Jason ever genuinely killed the wrong person and it was the fake bane in honor of poor dead alfred so you can imagine how i feel about that

Hes just- constantly constantly doing wrong and being wrong

Not to mention how the entirety of tfz is a show in how over his head and stupid jason is via his team he doesn't have any control over whatsoever. Makes me fall on my knees and sob in relief whenever i see Jason teamed up and in control in any other comic now. "But Robin they're zombies and no one could be expected to have control over them" still not fun to read jason being used as a complete punching bag who wont even get to tie everything together and get out!!

They are such a slog to get through. Every issue had me in dread and agony. Id rather read all of countdown again than even look at tfz. And thats not even getting into story beyond how jason is treated

Stopped laughing was not as bad as tfz. I still did not enjoy it. But when i tried to note anything about it just now i genuinely coulf not remember jasons scenes beyond chasing joker into the hospital and the wings. Fine i guess.

Gotham war "rosenberg is here for some reason" shows off the difference in writing pretty well. I think going from the bulk of gotham war which i thought was alright to enjoyable, to rosenberg's tie in. Made it all the more agonizing

I think this all ends feeling even worse with the knowledge of how popular of a writer he is. Praises sung, Jason solo/whatever rhato was by him begged for <-my actual worst nightmare. Genuinely cannot imagine a worse writer for the job. The thought of it ever happening makes me want to vomit. "Hey do you want 50 or so issues of Jason never succeeding and everything done is all for nothing and Jason is over his head and wrong every second and this will have a strong impact over how Jason is perceived forever. Also all the batfamily will show up to tell jason how not succeeding he is right now"

I can feel the impact it has and i hate it all forever. Is there something explorable or perhaps even enjoyable in writing jason like this? Im sure there probably is! Not here or today or anytime soon. Not in any way that will be appreciated by me who has to read so much all the time on jason being a stupid angry brute who doesn't think things through and cant do anything.

Rosenberg is like everything Jason fans complain about in how hes seen while also being praised as golden and enjoyable and youll definitely love it

I must restress how to the double crowbars being Jason's weapon of choice is the rotten cherry on top. Rosenberg was carefully designed to piss me specifically off as much as possible and hes succeeding
