My factory grom Jacob, and brother Tommy are off to Indonesia, a Nias adventure is the mission, so here’s some fresh weapons, (L-R)
6′3 x 19 x 2 3/8 Tuberaider Step up, quad fin with fcs2 set up, my go to step up template for solid good surf, i’ve not deviated much from my regular TRStepUP, just run a slightly thinner rail. this is the board for those bigger days, not just for Nias but all over Indonesia.
5′11 x 18 7/8 x 2 3/8 F2 Model, thruster fcs2, light glassing, this’ll be toms board for fun range surf 2-5ft, prety much a regular F2 with slightly pulled in rear half for a bit more drive and a bit more tapered out rails in the tail end.
5′10 x 18 1/2 x 2 1/4 - TubeRaider - quad fin, futures set up, this is Jacobs good wave shorty for larger range surf, almost a step up but still functional in good 3ft surf, i expect this will be the go to board for longer down the line tubes..
5′9 x 18 3/8 x 2 1/4 - ProtoType - thruster fin, Futures set up, this is something Jacob dreamed up and i helped facilitate, we used an F2 template, pulling in the tail to a nice RSQ, kept the entry rockers similar an F2 and then added a a fair bit of tail flip out the back (2 5/8″), combined with a moderate single concave and the pulled in tail, were hoping its going to be fairly responsive for critical turns in the pocket, holding a nice line for traditional rail to rail surfing.
5′8 x 19 x 2 1/4 - F2 STUB - thruster fin, futures set up, this is the smaller surf range board for anything 1-4ft, slightly fuller rails, single/double/vee bottom, fairly neutral rockers, great UK board, also a fun travel board for those lesser days you get on a trip but you wanna make every penny spent on the trip worth while.
stay tuned for some ride reports and shots soon!
