That was a pretty clear hint. So he wanted her to throw the ball for him? How ridiculous...

She picked up the ball and looked it over. She couldn't help but feel slightly embarrassed about this but she wasn't exactly sure why? Either way she glanced around first to make sure no one was there or watching and then she tossed gently tossed it towards one of the corners of the room and then waited to see what he would do next.

Oooh!! She did it! She did it!!

Now watch as the Fire/Rock type scampers after it, happily yipping as he chases the squeaking bouncy ball. Only to trip over his own feet and crash into the corner before catching said ball.

However, that tail continued to wag! He was so happy!! The puppy Pokemon let out a playful yip before picking the ball back up, returning to the princess with his head held high!

Kida quickly pulled her hand back as the Growlithe smacked the ball out of her hand and clasped it with her other hand. Well! That was rude! She had half a mind to call out to the guards and have the brat re-

She stopped herself there. No - that's what her 'old self' would have done and she wasn't going to be that person anymore. It wasn't trying to disrespect her - it was a young Pokemon who wanted it's ball and that was it.

Kida watched as the ball rolled off her lap and begin to roll away as the Puppy tried to give her the ball back. Wait... she didn't understand... why was it trying to give her the ball again right after taking it back?

Take two, right? The puppy caught onto the princess' confusion and scampered after the ball as it rolled off her lap, only to come back and place it onto her hand. He would then gently nudge with with his snout as if he was saying 'hey watch me!'

The puppy then did the same motion with one of his front paws once again, throwing it forward! Then gazed up at her once more, granted no one could see his eyes, but he could see just fine!

And there it comes, bouncing up and gently resting against her foot would be a small sized squeaky ball, covered in tiny fresh bite marks!

In the door however sat the culprit!

The tiny puppy Pokemon eagerly gazed at the princess, his big poofy tail wagging as if it was about to fly off it's rear and become a cloud itself, his round ears perked up and his front paws excitedly tapping against the floor as he sat.

Play time??

Kida hesitated for a moment as the ball rolled against her foot. She turned and looked at the door and relaxed when she saw the Growlithe and sighed to herself - it was just Noel's partner. For a moment she was almost afraid it was Freya's Yamper chasing Youta's Litten again and she was about to get pulled into that spat.

She bent down and picked up the ball and held it out towards the Puppy, "I think you dropped this?"

!?

That is not how one plays! The tiny Fire-type let out a tiny huff at the princess, before gently smacking the ball from her hand with one of his front paws, and then chasing after it!

He turned before picking it up, seeing if she was watching, before he ran back up to her, trying to place the ball into her hand!

He did a play bow, wiggling his rear in the air as he happily panted, clearly excited to see if the princess caught on!

Play times must be had princess!!

Making his way downtown, walking fast, faces pass and he's Faire bound. Of course, the young man smiles and waves at anyone willing to greet him.

Once upon the Faire Grounds, his smile drops and he takes a deep breath, eyes focusing down on the ring resting on his finger. Aunt--. QUEEN. Chiyo gave him this to travel back and forth so... He activated it after checking if anyone was around, and stood there, waiting.

Kida was not one to hide or sneak about - but Noel's behavior was rather suspicious. She was fully intending to approach him and ask what he was up to, but before she could reach him he slipped away. She only just managed to catch sight of him again because he had stopped walking.

"Hey!" She huffed as she continued towards him, "What are you up to?"

"Ah!? Kida!?" The boy exclaimed as she huffed at him, strutting up to him as he stood at the portal. He was hoping no one would stumble upon this. Right? It was just-- "Oi. Are you sure about this? A voice came through, a tall, blonde figure with crimson eyes stepped through, standing tall over the two youngsters. Noel's father was there! Dressed in a bindingly gold kimono with a scale like cape draped over his shoulders.

"Honestly kid, ain't this a bit much--" Ryu cut himself off, his eyes falling to the princess as the squinted slightly. They grow up so fast. Mini Chi....Alas. The man folded his arms over his chest, looking out over the Faire grounds and nodding to himself. "This will do though."

He's glancing around. No one following him? Seeing him? Good (or so he hopes) He's making his way toward the Faire Grounds--.

Kida spotted him out of the corner of her eyes and followed him with her gaze. Where was he going so suspiciously?

She decided to put her book down and follow him just to make sure he didn't get himself hurt or lost.

Champion? Strongest? She had a vague inkling of what he was talking about because she knew about the world he came from, but most of that went over her head. She did catch the word ‘strongest’ though. 

“So you are going to Paldea to learn to fight?“ She asked.

“Mmmmh, I guess? In my world, people usually settle disputes by having Pokemon Battles, or to just battle for fun! It’s kind of a mixed bag? Pokemon seem to enjoy it too. Not all mind you! Not everyone is a Pokemon Trainer! Some are kept as pets or family!” His golden hued eyes fell on the Princess as he blinked. He probably knew the answer...but... “...You should come with me, ya know?”

Kida rolled the pamphlet over in her hand for a moment before opening it up to read it. She had heard of the Paldean Empire, but not of the Paldea Region - though she was well aware that the two were probably in the same location. It left a bit of a bad taste in her mouth considering the current political standing Galar had with Paldea. They had been towing the line on a treaty for a long time but so has Kalos and both Kalos and Galar knew that Paldea was playing both sides and was just waiting to see which would be the better ally… 

She pushed the thought aside. Worrying about Paldea and Kalos was not something she needed to focus on right now - gaining her own power should be her only priority.

“I suppose you will be gone for awhile then?“ Kida asked without looking up from the pamphlet. 

There was a slight pause as the princess asked the question as she gazed at the pamphlet. Blinking his bright eyes Noel would frown and cast his gaze to the side, rubbing the back of his head with one of his hands.

“...I mean, yeah. I don’t really know how long. People say Paldea is a really big place back home and the cities are huge too...” He mumbled quietly. “But...I think it would be worth it! After all, there are so many sights to see and Pokemon to befriend! I want to become a super strong Pokemon trainer like dad after all!”

“Your looking at a future Pokemon Champion! I’m gonna be the strongest of the strongest!” He would flash her a big grin as he placed his hands on his hips, puffing his chest out!

Kida tried her best not to sneer when he asked ‘are you plotting something’ or if something happened. Something happened since the last time she saw him - but that wasn’t something she could talk to him about. 

“I am plotting nothing. Anyway, you said you are going on a Pokemon Journey?” She questioned 

“That’s right!” he was surprised she remembered such a thing! He figured she would of just brushed it off! Digging in his pocket, he would pull out a brochure of the next region opening it’s doors to new challengers. He would hand it out to Kida for her to look it over as he put his hands on his hips and smiling. “The Paldea region is letting outsiders join in on their league! I plan on taking it on and having the best adventure ever!”

An Odd Proposition

Kida sat in her Father’s throne room with a far-away expression on her face. Her Father and all his men were up in the War Room, and no matter how bad she had begged to join them he just wouldn’t accept. Some nonsense about ‘a War Room is no place for little girls’. She wished she could counter that she was actually an adult, but he’d believe that as much as he’d believe that Bryce was going to eventually betray hm. 

She sighed and looked up at the Shield of Galar that was hung and displayed proudly above the King’s Throne. If she was stronger she could force her point or even go after Bryce herself… but she couldn’t even lift a weapon, let alone use it - and it would take years to master and even then, Bryce was already so much more practiced and advanced than her and was still learning more everyday. No - physical strength or swordplay wouldn’t win her this fight… but then, what would?

The sound of the door opening on the far end of the Throne Room snapped Kida out of her thoughts and she straightened up in her seat. She immediately relaxed though when she saw who entered - 

“Oh, it’s you.” Kida sighed - but then she suddenly tensed up. It was Noel - someone she hadn’t seen yet since coming back in the past. Putting on the old familiar mask she added, “Where have you been hiding?”

The boy froze as soon as he walked in. Blinking his bright eyes at the princess as she suddenly tensed up, it even earned a tip of his head at her as he rose a brow. “...I was hiding? Grandpa said he wanted to talk to me so I was there...”

He would explain, shutting the door behind him and stuffing his hands into his pants pockets. “Why? What’s up? Did something happen that I was needed for...?” Not that he thought he would be much help mind you! He wasn’t some sort of knight and he hadn’t even taken his first journey yet, however...

“Grandpa said it was about time for me to take my first journey, back home this is the age where most trainers begin going throughout regions and taking on the gym challenge.” The boy would talk on further, stepping up to the Princess. “...What are you up too Kida? You plottin’ somethin’...?” He squinted at her, a playful suspicious look as he formed a small grin. “Ya should let me in on it yeah??”

Kida looked down at her outfit, “I suppose I should get something to dress in? Well -” She put her hands on her hips, “Fetch me something to wear then from your world and I shall change before we go. I trust you’ll find me something adequate?” 

“W-Wait, me pick something for you to wear...?” he blinked at her as his head did a slight tip to the side. He closed his mind as he brought his hand to his chin, rubbing it in thought. “I might have something in mind...”

Kida pushed her book away. She was glad to have a distraction from it, and then looked up to look Noel over curiously, “While I don’t know about the last part… I’m intrigued.” 

She wasn’t a big fan of ‘his world’. It was big, noisy, and the cities stank in a way she couldn’t put her finger on. It was the smell of ‘Industrialization’ as she had been told once. Technology escaped her for the most part as well. But going to see fireworks would be nice. A chance to get away from endless studies and the stress of responsibilities would be a nice break as well.

Kida stood up and straightened out her dress, “I will go. Thank you for inviting me.”

He perked up more! After being stuck in a room so long from being sick, he was ready to be out and about again! His smile grew as his eyes lit up!

“Great! Do you need to do anything before we go? Any clothes to blend in? If ya do I’m sure mom would be able to help you out there!” He seemed like he was ready to bounce out of his shoes with excitement!

“Fireworks?“ Kida echoed curiously, “I suppose that could be entertaining. But, by ‘your home’, I suppose you mean your world?“

“T-That’s right!” He didn’t know if anyone was really listening on them, he was told by Chi to make sure no one figured that part out. “They’ll have a bunch of food and stuff there too! It’s like some mini festival!” Oops, and idea came to mind! “Maybe we could take some ideas from this and incorporate them to your guy’s festivals?”

Kida had been sitting in her office and leaning over her studies with a bored expression. Normally she loved reading about history… but this book was about military history and that did not align with her interests at all. She knew it was important to learn, but she was not at all interested in reading about it right now.

So, when someone came in and announced that ‘Sir Conley wished to see her’, she was relieved at the break and sat straight up in her seat once more and told the Guard to admit him. The Guard bowed, and quickly ducked out to fetch Noel. 

“You wished to see me?“ Kida asked after he had entered.

“Kida!” The young man would chime as he entered the room. Someone was certainly feeling better! He would happily wave his hand as he stepped up to the Princess before his hands retreated to his pockets.  “Hey, hey! Are you busy tonight by any chance?” He was certainly moving fast, his eyes seemingly lighting up with excitement as they focused on her. He would however glance back to make sure no one was around to hear. “Uhm, so...At my...’home’. They’re putting on a firework show! I was wondering if you’d like to come with me to see them...?”

Now that he’s feeling better, a lot of the castle guards and staff would see Noel roaming about!

Tatsu is currently roaming the halls of the Turffield manor with a open book in his hand. 

Him? Paying attention? Never.
