as the two were talking, hyeri was not feeling like herself. it was a very long story between her boyfriend, well ex-boyfriend now, and her. he had left her for another girl and hyeri knew all a long that he was with another female, but was just waiting for her boyfriend to tell her the truth. the only reason she waited was that hyeri believed in him and thought of him more than a d o u c h e bag. but when he had called her out to the cafe that they met and broke her heart into a million pieces, all she thought of, at that moment, was ‘was i not enough?… how could i have not seen this coming?’
after leaving him from the cafe, she saw him happily with his ‘new’ girlfriend. his arms wrapped around her waist, like the way he used to do with hyeri. she, hyeri, was horrible with confrontation and hated herself for not being able to talk back to her so called “boyfriend”. so she dreaded about it all day.
softly laughing at his statement she responds with, “you’d beat him up and get hurt? no, thanks.” afterwards she takes a sip of her soju with a deep sigh, “h o p e f u l l y karma will get him back.”
