“Who’s this?” -taps glass to get lizard’s attention- “That’s Trisha. Please don’t tap the glass, it upsets her.” The lizard lifts a foreleg and extends a single claw skyward.

“Trisha, please. We’ve discussed this.” Trisha: -licks own eyeball- “Trisha, no crickets for supper.”

The twist is that she’s just a lizard who’s been exposed to so much high level magic that she developed a human-like personality. Quinton brought back a box of artifacts and a lizard one day like “well I couldn’t just leave her with that madman”.

and Taniel is all “we should name her Trisha after this contortionist I met when I visited Prague thirteen years ago” Quinton: “why” Taniel: “It just seems sensible.”

Poor Tybalt comes in later and finds them staring doubtfully at a plastic tub of crickets. “Did you even ask her what kind of lizard she is?” Both of them sweat nervously.
