In my early teen years I would often be desperate for the erotic hypnosis and mind control content that we can all find so easily now. Places like mcstories and the mcforum were a frequent destination for me along with Sue Chans site and Voyers site. It was from the mcforum or voyers site that I heard about what I thought would be the epitome of the content that I was craving, a porno called Sapphire Girls.

All I really knew is there would be mind control and actual adult situations rendered on screen rather than depicted in  drawings or in prose form. Most importantly unlike the hypno themed porn producers on the internet who’s content I could only access via their trailers because I lacked a credit card, Sapphire girls would actually be on TV! 

So one night I stayed up late when my parents would be mostly retired to bed and caught the film on Cinemax and it was….. not great. The typical tropes of porn like cheesy dialog and random sex scenes just did not appeal to me. Moreover the actual instances of mind control felt poor in comparison to what I had been able to glimpse via media that was made for Hypno fetishists by hypno fetishists.

In retrospect this should have been a lesson about how some people just don’t “get” the appeal of the kink even if they have every intention of trying. Still, this film is forever part of my memory as it held so much potential for me during my formative years.
