Apparently Januvia's parent company got rid of their coupon program, and the site now redirects to a PDF of the little package insert ... So I guess I'm not on Januvia anymore because fuck if I can afford $155 a month on top of the other 27 medications I'm on, and all my (blood test confirmed) supplements that I have to take.

"There's a generic available now" yeah and they still want $114 for it. If I can't afford $155 a month, what makes you think I can afford $114? The system is literally rigged to murder Diabetic patients.

Honestly, having Diabetes was my worst nightmare. My Grandfather had it (T1) when I was a child in the 90's / 00's, and I read a book on it while I was still young, and needless to say ... Both left a very strong impression on me. And not positively.

I've been terrified of getting Diabetes my whole life. And now that I have it ... It's really not that bad; certainly frustrating and difficult to manage- and I'm so grateful that we caught it early onset before things got too crazy. And I'm definitely on track to eventually become Insulin dependent if my Pancreas doesn't get it's shit together with all its insulin dumping. But ... I'm surviving?

Idk. I have a lot of mixed emotions about being diagnosed with Diabetes last year. But it's not as bad as I was terrified it would be. I know a massive part of that, though, is that we now have better medications and monitoring. And that makes an insane difference that people often don't even realize.

I have discovered that you can bork an automated system by just hitting star (*) while it's talking. And it'll auto-skip that part of the automated read-off. Gotta use it carefully, though, or you'll get too far into the menu and not know where to go. But it's been very helpful in skipping the long advertisement announcements and nonsense every time I have to call WalMart or Homeland for this nonsense going on with my prescriptions.

Anyways. We finally got my medications sent over to the WalMart pharmacy properly today; for a week they've been saying that my medications were waiting on authorization from my GP because they were out of refills. I'd been trying to get ahold of my GP's Nurse all week to get that done, but had no luck.

Today I finally got through and what happened was essentially: We put my medications into the system at their new office when I was there, but at the time they didn't actually have all my records from the old office yet. When the rest of my records were finally sent, it created a bunch of duplicates on my profile, and they didn't know which ones were the right ones, because some were wrong or out of date. So they needed to go over my whole med list with me again before they could authorize them- and the office was crazy busy this week. So they hadn't had time to get to it yet.

Everything's in now, though. And the ones I need are being filled. There's just still one hangup with my Januvia, in that the coupon keeps not applying correctly. And so it's $155 right now (which I can't afford), and we're having to troubleshoot why the manufacturer coupon isn't working at WalMart like it did at Homeland. We'll get it figured out eventually, though.

I had the bright idea to have a cup of Lao Cong Mi Lan Xiang Phoenix Oolong a couple hours before bed last night. And as expected, I was in an out of bed all night needing to use the restroom 😩 So that basically confirms that I can't drink anything after 5 pm without consequences.

I hate having Diabetes.

Seriously anyone engaging with age verification bill discourse in terms of whether or not you think age restricting content is good or bad are completely missing the point.

These bills have nothing to do with keeping young people from doing certain things or protecting the children or whatever. Their point is and always has been one thing: If your operating system knows who you are it is impossible to have any real form of privacy on the computer.

Thats it, thats the whole thing. They want to link your every single usage of computers to your real world identity, and like they have been doing for all of time, they are hiding under the guise of protecting the children.

I hate that I have so much desire to bake right now, and absolutely no energy- and way too much pain- to do it. And then I remember that my birthday's in 2 days and I'll be getting cake soon anyways. So that kind of makes up for it a little bit.

I wound up taking a pain soak with a double scoop. Got out. Finished my Swan I was embroidering ... And then promptly fell asleep, I was so tired; I fell asleep around 5, and my Husband wound up waking me up a couple hours later by sticking a chicken sandwich under my nose 😂 I am very food motivated, even in sleep.

Now I'm drinking a cup of Lao Cong Mi Lan Xiang Phoenix Dan Cong while we put together a grocery pickup order. The WalMart site is down-ish right now, but we can still add things in our cart. So we've got the order in the cart, and then when the site is hopefully fixed tomorrow we can finally put it in.

I finally have enough energy to sit at my desk proper without hurting- rather than being stuck in a pillow nest on the couch. But I've no idea what I'm going to do, and honestly I'm still a little tired and have a headache now. I may just drink my tea, stay up for an hour to let it get through my system (if not I'll be up a million times overnight; damned Diabetes), and then go lay back down.

Everybody’s been so copy + paste lately, esp online. I hate people who lack originality and don’t think for themselves. Almost everybody’s online brand looks the same. Everybody wants to look the same or have the same style. Everybody has the same hobbies. Getting inspo from other sources is cool, but give it some personality GOD. Don’t be bland, don’t be “trendy”…. do the opposite of what everyone else is doing. Be your own person.

Today is not fantastic for me. The weather that's come in has put me in a fibro flair since I'm only on one Savella right now. I'm in so much pain today. So much so that just riding 10 minutes in the car to get a new needle threader hurt like hell for me.

But I got the needle threader! And a new hoop, some better needles (wasn't happy with the ones I snagged last time), and floss for my next project (DMC 703, 504, 816, 3822, and 208). I also snagged an ergonomic glove because my stitching hand has neuropathy problems occasionally. Because why not.

When we got home I took a methocarbamol, and made some of my Motherwort and Tulsi tea. Now I'm relaxing on the couch in my little pain pillow nest, while stitching on my swan piece; stitching isn't going terribly well with the brain issues, but it's not going horribly, either. So I'm going to finish this swan I'm currently working on and call it a day for now.

I'm so happy with how it's coming along.
