A gun bought by autistic slobbering Oxide worshipping slavaboos who can’t afford a NDM-86 and thus will buy this and constantly try to justify their purchase when they shitpost on /k/ only to get outshot by some fudd testing handloads in his Model 70 at the range. Comes complete with a Kommandostore/Varusteleka gorka suit, striped navy under shirt, painfully bad jokes and probably some STALKER patch for a faction like Freedom or Duty or some other shit.

Now, the actual PSL isn’t a bad gun. But it’s just overhyped by the same people I just described. What you’re getting is effectively an RPK derived DMR made by Romania because the USSR didn’t want to give them the technical package for the SVD because Romania had the gumption to not beat the shit out of Czechslovakia for daring to dissent. Not bad, built to the same basic specs as the SVD but just different enough so that no one really cares about it outside of that specific subset of people I’ve made fun of twice.

As for the actual gun, it’s an SVD style gun, there’s not much I can really rant about. Long gun in 7.62x54R made to be decent enough as a DMR so the Russians don’t have to bother with making a designated sniper rifle like the capitalist West. This isn’t a gun for getting super good MOA, it’s made for popping heads across the Fulda Gap and if you treat it as that and not some magical Slavic wunderwaffe that will be the best thing since deep fried Jesus, you can enjoy a PSL. Just be prepared for sweaty slavaboos cramming around you if you take it to a range.
