* ✶ 「 CHOI YEONJUN, 22, male & he/him 」 welcome to the mortal realm, KIM HYUN-WOO — though, the fates whisper that they could only be CERBERUS reincarnated. it seems in this life they’re instead known for being a TICKET CLERK AT THE MUSEUM. what a downgrade. nevertheless, mortality can be confusing, so it’s understandable they can be LOYAL and SENTIMENTAL, but also GUARDED and JUDGEMENTAL ; maybe that’s why they remind people of BE YOUR OWN MUSE by HAYLEY BLAIS ? but not all history is washed away by time — just as the poets say, they still remind others of NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THE FLOOR BECAUSE IT’S COVERED IN WORN CLOTHES, USED PLATES AND VIDEO GAMES, ABSENT-MINDEDLY CLINGING TO YOUR BESTFRIENDS SHIRT SLEEVE BECAUSE YOUR BODY NEEDS THEM CLOSE AT ALL TIMES, FINDING OLD CANDY STUCK TO THE INSIDE OF A COAT POCKET AND EATING IT ANYWAY. hopefully this life treats them a little better. I’ve gotta be honest I’m still working this little homeboy out.
Hyunwoo is Cerberus reincarnate so ...soft puppy vibes..duh.
But he’s also very guarded, no pun intended...(get it... he guards the gates of the Underworld. lol.)
He is super loyal (I promise I’m not just writing a golden retriever I swear) but can be kinda cold and standoffish with people at first. He holds those he lets close in very high regard but it takes a lot for him to let people into his circle. Basically he’s a judgy little bitch but I’m gonna get him to work on it, okay?
Works at the museum behind the desk and tbh is really tired of his job but at the same time he’s one of those losers who hangs out at his place of work when he’s not even on shift just to annoy/hang with his co-workers (literally me at my own job)
He’d love to get a job doing bar work and spends way too many hours of his day scrolling through mixology videos on social media.
That being said he is super immature so I really don’t know how our boy could handle that. Not a huge drinker, can deffo handle his beer but loves to experiment and mix weird concoctions for his friends...not all of which work out tasting/looking as good as first intended
In terms of love, Hyunowoo isn’t really on he lookout for love. He’s been unlucky in love a few times and now he believes that what happens happens which is a stark contrast to his normal ‘gotta make everyday count’ outlook.
I will likely add to this through this first week and his character fully develops in my head.
Hyunwoo had been clock-watching for the past hour. Desperate for his shift at the museum desk to finally be over. It wasn’t that Hyunwoo had big plans, more so that he had pulled together lots of little plans which had amalgamated in his head to create what he liked to call a ‘Happy Hyunwoo Day’. He tapped his fingers anxiously against the desk, a habit he knew annoyed his fellow co-workers, watching as the hour finally struck. “Done!” He sprung up from his chair so fast a co-worker had to catch his chair but Hyunwoo was on a mission. He hogged directly over to the museums lost and found box and began rooting through its contents, clearly looking for something in particular.
“If somethings been in the lost and found for over three months it’s fair game, right?” Hyunwoo shouted back to his co-workers, not even bothering to look back at those still working. He smiled cockily as he shrugged his new find on over his uniform. His smile faltering slightly as he noted the person in front of him. “Can I help you?”
