I am happy to say I am hooked on Eternal Love of Dream. It is so much (ten times, no a hundred times) better than Dong Hua x Feng Jiu’s love story in Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms.
Things Feng Jiu does this season (I can’t keep from thinking it’s season 2 to Ten Miles):
> Fights her enemies head on, even protects Dong Hua, who is considered one of the most powerful and oldest gods in existence
> Actively tries to move on from her crush on Dong Hua after her experience as his pet fox
> Argues and berates Dong Hua for his stupid shit
> Grows up from a childish prankster into a mature-ish adult
Things Feng Ji does in Ten Miles:
Yeah, I definitely like this Feng Jiu much more than the Feng Jiu in Ten Miles. I know she did a lot more than just cry in that show, but all I can remember from watching it was her buckets of tears she shed over Dong Hua. This Feng Jiu is the kind of girl I would want to hang out with. She’s got spunk.
Now for Dong Hua, he’s different too and who else is loving it?! Sure, he’s still the same old god who drinks tea, plays go and spends a lot of time napping, but there are new things that I adore.
>He takes on cooking and he sucks at it! Everyone in the Sky Kingdom is terrified of eating his food!
> He’s “at that age” that he doesn’t care what other people think of him and messes with others for his own amusement.
> He’s head over heels in lurv with Feng Jiu it’s too freaking adorable. He’s absolutely shameless (ep 30).
These two are perfect for each other and the show gets better with each episode. After Yang Mi’s cameos, I am aching to see Ye Hua and Qian Qian again so I will do a re-watch of Ten Miles soon (minus Feng Jiu and Dong Hua, they have ruined me for the last pairing they did). And after watching half of this show, I’ve got to read the novel.
