【SILLY BOY!】
Looking for Detroit: Become Human RP Partners
I’m willing to discuss the platform we RP on. I’m just looking for someone willing to do lit or semi-lit and come up with ideas with. I’d love to hear what some might say. I have some ideas of my own but they’re very specific. One of them includes romance, but I’m not solely seeking romance.
I’m willing to write for Connor, Markus, and Kara. OCs welcome (I may also be able to write for an OC or character of your choice/request if I understand the character enough to do so).
I’m also willing to double up on these characters. If you have any character suggestions such as any androids, I am willing. You just have to ask. Message me even if you are unsure about what to do. I’m not very picky and I’m open to ideas. To specify, here are genres I have in mind but am not limited to:
Drama, Romance, Horror, Mystery, Casual, playful genres (such as Slice of Life if you want a less commital, more airy, fun roleplay) Again, I am open to more genres. Just ask.

i-am-deviated:
In the midst of her thoughts, the sound of footsteps had not seemed to register at the back of her mind, and the little android, had almost seemed slightly surprised at the sound of a voice which echoed from the doorway behind her. It was one she had not heard before, and so curiosity quickly made Shae turn around, only so that she could get a view of the figure behind her.
While she had never met the android up close, there had been many a talk about him. That swell suit, and that perfectly styled hair. There were not many like him around. At the very least, not anymore. The Deviant Hunter. The traitor. All names Shae did not particularly agree with. In a way, it only seemed hypocritical to blame him for following instructions, when most androids had initially done the exact same. Her head leaned to the side at his question, as a softness settled upon her features, and the LED on the side of her temple took back its blue-ish color.
‘‘Of course.’‘ She said, her tone gentle as she nodded her head, yet another small woosh of air sending her snowy hair flying at her back. ‘‘So you’re the one everybody’s been talking about.’‘ She said, carrying a playfulness about her words by now, as her shoulders seemed to slump down slightly as she would relax. ‘‘Don’t worry. I’m not one of the hateful ones.’‘ She said, beckoning him closer with a single motion of her head.
It’s always good to know where new androids he met stood in their opinion of him, but he doesn’t really expect to be told she isn’t one of the hateful ones. He knows what she means. While it caught him off guard, he does appreciate being given the information. It saves him from having to wonder, having to ask himself as some seemed to enjoy making him play some sort of guessing game with him. Which is, honestly, not very pleasant.
Connor steps beside her to stand closer to the balcony. It’s after he gets there that he replies, taking the time to acknowledge her going ahead and letting him know not to worry. “Thank you,” He begins, head turning to rest his gaze upon her “Sometimes I’m not really sure where I stand when I meet someone knew - there are.. many who still hold a grudge.” Even if many of the androids he personally encountered and let get away didn’t. Which is.. strange. If they can forgive him over the simple fact he let them go upon seeing their struggle then why do those who never met him hate him so? It made no sense. It wasn’t logical.
“I find it.. strange that those who met me before I deviated forgive me.. but there are many who simply choose to hate me.” Are they angry? Are they simply taking their own personal angst out on him? If that’s the case, it’s not really fair. Or perhaps it’s simply over the case the Connor before him had been part of? Sacrificing himself and taking the android in pursuit out with him. He frowns. Many androids have the same face yet are treated as different people. He’s not that Connor. It’s not fair for others to hold a grudge against his current self over what a previous version of himself did.
Shae did not know the entire story of this android, but she had heard the whispers. The small voices that spoke of what he had done, of what he had been programmed for. In a way, she understood the others, but so too did she understand Connor himself. Gently would she scoot aside, offering him a little bit more space for him to sit, fingers coiling with one another as her back stood straight, legs dangling lightly, heels at times tapping on the edge of the wall of the floor beneath them. ‘’Can you blame them?’’ She asked, her voice however soft as to make sure he knew she was not siding with them. ‘’In a way, I can understand them. They have a rage within they do not know where to put, and at times, it’s easier to judge and attack what we don’t know.’’ She said, her eyes attempting to meet his.
‘‘With that said, we all came from the same place, down the road. And some of us forget that. You, just like me, just like all of us, were built in Cyberlife. You were programmed like a machine to do things you now regret.’‘ Her hair gently fell along her shoulder as she leaned her head to have a better look at him. ‘‘The unknown is scary. But they will come around. All of them, in time.’‘ She said. ‘‘What you did for us, I personally think it was a redeemable act. You deserve your place with us, never forget it.’‘
Shae had always been programmed for kindness and understanding. To seek to know the mind of others, so that she may come to their aid better. Now, as a deviant, things had not changed all that much. Despite herself, roots of her programmed personality remained, and she could not help but feel for him. Carefully, she extended an arm towards him, hoping to shake his hand, should he allow her. ‘’They call me Shae.’’
It felt as though all hope had been lost. Jericho was supposed to be a place of peace, where they would feel safe, yet it had not been further from the truth. Somehow, the humans had found them. Many had been lost, and even more injured and captured. In the spirit of giving and caring, Shae had remained behind as she could, carrying those she could to the waters, before she finally had to abandon ship, when a gun had been pointed her way and there had been no other choice.
Now, within the church, spirits were low, desperate. Some cried in corners, others curled up with one another, praying to whatever they could that Markus would find a way. Shae had been one of the last to rejoin with them. Her pale skin, her white hair and the entirety of her pale clothes had been stained with dirt and muck from the waters. She sustained a small injury in her shoulder, the blue blood clear to those who looked, yet she did not seem to pay it much mind. Her thoughts aimed immediately towards one of the wounded androids as she aimed within. A man, much taller than her, the side of his abdomen clearly sliced opened, and thirium pouring from him. Without a second thought did she aim for him, catching him before he would fall, and holding him with an arm around his side as best as she could. Yet what could a small android such as her do by herself when faced with this.
‘‘Hey!’‘ she called out to the crowd of androids dispersed through the church. ‘‘I need help over here!’‘
@deviantpigeon
As soon as Rupert had heard the commotion he knew with certainty that the humans had found them. He was quick on his feet as he desperately ran in search of an escape, trying to ignore the choir of screams and guns being fired around him. He thanked rA9 he had managed to abandon ship mere seconds before the bomb had been set off. His cap had been lost after hitting the water but all the android cared about was escaping alive.
He followed the herd of mostly damaged androids into the church. He was now sat on the ground, head in his hands as he tried to collect himself and not lose hope, as hard as that was. A cry for help snapped him out of his thoughts as he practically whipped his head back up. He got up and scanned the area, trying to find the source of the call. Very few androids were paying attention, most just either praying or trying to tend to their own wounds.
He then saw an android white hair who crearly struggled with tending a much bigger one. Rupert ran until he was at the girl’s side, squatting down to help in lifting the wounded android. “What..” ha struggled to speak, “What can I do?”
It seemed very few paid attention to her cry for help, most tending to their own wounds, while others seemed too busy being desperate. A few got up in curiosity, but a single one dared to run towards her and actually lower himself beneath the tall android’s arm to help her carry him. ‘’He’s bleeding a lot.’’ She managed to say as she struggled to pull the poor android near one of the fires, and allow for him to lay upon the ground.
‘‘Go fetch a… a rod, anything that’s made out of metal. Put it in the fire until it’s hot enough to cauterize the wound.’’ She said, her voice echoing in a professionalism she had once shown back when she had yet to be a deviant. Medical training was still implanted in her memories, and while it had never been designed for androids, how different could they be?
‘‘Hurry! Or he’s going to shut down!’‘ By now, the wounded android was unconscious, his large body barely showing any sign of life, except for the still glowing LED at the side of his temple, and his fluttering eyes and furrowed brows. Shae leaned forward, a small hand resting on the wounded android’s side, pale fingers quickly staining with blue as she attempted to stop what could be stopped.
Hands shaking severely, Rupert could only nod before running in no sure direction desperate to find anything made of metal. He wasn’t even sure why he had opted to help despite he himself being in a state of panic; he could’ve just stay in his place and not bother. But none of that mattered. His eyes spotted a loose metal pipe and he almost tripped while running towards it. Shaking hands gripped the pipe and pulled, almost violently, before it was fully out of the wall.
His feet quickly carried him towards a fireplace, hands almost dropping the piece of metal before heating it up under the flame. He figured it was hot enough before running back to Shae, handing the pipe to her in a hurried manner. “H-here!”
Everything was a matter of minutes by now. If Shae had been filthy before, now she was bloodied with the thirium of an android she did not even know, such was her nature. Her eyes lingered to the struggling android upon the floor, brows furrowed worriedly as a soft voice escaped her lips. ‘’Come on… Stay with me. Stay with me.’’ She whispered softly, the words of encouragement being all that she could manage while waiting on the other android.
When the pipe was finally handed to her, small fingers quickly reached for it, coiling tightly as she brought it to the wound. ‘’Thank you.’’ She said in a low nod, before she would press the red hot metal onto the prosthetic skin. A loud hiss was heard as the wound would cauterize fully, and she would finally remove the pipe and toss it aside. ‘’Now, all we can do is wait.’’ She said, as her shoulders lowered in a small sign of relief. She might have worked in a mental institution, yet she was far from a medical android.
Her eyes fell upon her bloodied hands, as strange images of mistakes long passed seemed to resurface, and the LED upon her forehead would take on a yellow color, flashing between it and a reddish glow. Without a word, she stood, aiming for a small puddle of water at the corner of the room, where the roof was pierced, and rain had gathered, and it was almost in a panicked manner that she would began to scrub at the blood, soft whines gently echoing from her lips as some spots did not seem to wash away as easily.
Rupert’s eyes were wide, face betraying shock. He was dead quiet as he watched Shae taking care of the unfortunate android. Memories of the time he deviated consumed him yet he stood still and stared. His thoughts were interrupted by soft whines, it is then he notices the female is no longer there.
He quickly locates her and shakes his head, approaching her carefully. Tilting his head helped him see what she was trying to do and he quickly ripped the hem of his hoodie. He kneeled beside her and handed the makeshift rag. “This–this should help with the stains.”
They all had things they wished to forget, a past of abuse, something that had forced them to awaken into a world of mud and muck, only to realize this was not… fair. Her hands stained by blood had been her awakening. She had never meant to hurt, never meant to kill, and to this day, images still haunted her mind. She scrubbed and scrubbed again, scratching at the skin, threatening to rip it from her shell, was she not careful enough. It all reminded her of it. And how could it not?
Her LED took a yellowed color as a voice was heard by her side, and shy, pale eyes met his, as her long white hair, curled in wet, natural strands, fell atop her face. It was obvious she was scared, terrified, even. Yet despite it all, she gently reached for the makeshift rag, her pale fingers grazing along his as she seemed to settle down, even if but slightly. ‘’Thanks…’’ She said, reaching back down in the water to once more scrub at her stained palms.
A faint huff, barely in the form of a chuckle, escaped her lips, and she shook her head slightly. ‘’Y’know, that’s funny…’’ She began, her voice gentle. ‘’I try to stay strong. Like it’s in my nature, but… Deep down, I’m… I’m just as terrified as they are.’’
Rupert nodded sympathetically. They all had reason to be terrified, having just awakened and thrown into a world where their creators wouldn’t accept them. It was unjust, unfair and cruel. At times like these it was easy to abandon hope and just exist, waiting for the fated day where you would involuntarily shut down. Freedom was never an easy thing to accomplish yet Rupert was sure everyone was still clinging to the idea of it.
“I understand.” He speaks softly, looking at the ground, “I, uh- I guess I never told you my name.” He looks up at her and manages a soft smile, “I’m Rupert.”
‘‘Rupert…’‘ She repeated as he would speak his name, as though allowing for the sound of it to properly roll on her tongue. ‘‘I’m Shae.’‘ She said, a faint smile pulling at the corner of her lips, as the LED ring on the side of her temple would slowly flash back to its regular blue shade. Simple conversations, sometimes overlooked, were usually more than enough to settle the little droid back in place. ‘‘I would say it’s a pleasure to meet you. I simply wish it were under better circumstances.’‘ She said, attempting a faint chuckle, carrying a certain sadness about it, as she managed to scrub what was left of the thirium upon her palms.
Resting the rag by her side, she would let her weight fully fall to the ground, sitting herself more comfortably as bright blue eyes fell upon him once more. ‘’Despite it all, however. I’m glad to see you alive, Rupert.’’ She nodded softly, extending a small hand towards his.
“Nice to meet you too.” He nods and let’s his eyes wander around the church, taking in everything before him. He kept his gaze on the android Shae had previously tried to heal, hoping that he would wake up again.
What came out of Shae’s mouth made Rupert turn his head back, flabbergasted. Kindness was a rare thing to see, and he guessed the female was just trying to lift his mood, yet he felt somewhat flustered by it. “I’m–” his hand made it’s way towards the back of his neck, “I-thank you. I’m glad to see you alive aswell.”
It was hard to show any kind of joy in such a place, where hope had mostly faded, and what remained of the androids barely stood a number that was relevant enough to their cause. Her eyes wandered upon the room a moment, watching as a few remained huddled together, and others held onto themselves as though none else could help them. It was truly a sad sight. ‘’It’s hard to believe we’ve got any chance…’’ She said, her eyes lowering a moment.
Shae noticed the strange behavior of the android at her response, and despite the tone of the room, she could not help a gentle smile, as she let her legs bend so that she could lay her elbows atop her knees. ‘’Sorry. I don’t mean to come off as the buzzkill.’’ She said, her voice softening itself. ‘’It just saddens me to see them all so… lost.’’
Rupert nods before looking around them; so many andoids, so much agony and hopelessness; it was truly a miserable sight. “I know what you mean.” he mumbles loud enough for her to hear, “We never chose this. All we want is to be free. Yet humans continue to hinder us, despite making us in their own image.”
His gaze goes back to Shae. He stares in hope that she would have something to say.
Eyes wandered upon the room for a moment once more, looking at those who sat and waited for something, anything in particular. ‘’Look at them.’’ She said, as her eyes lingered upon them, her voice softened as to not be heard by those around them. ‘’They are not fighters. Very few of us are. We can predict certain things at best. But we are no soldiers.’’ Shae had always been one to have hope, always one to carry the idea that winning could be an option, yet now, even she was not blind enough to think such a thing as possible as it had once been.
She turned to him, bright, pale eyes falling upon his form, as the LED at the side of her head glowed a faint yellow, only a reflection of the distress she truly felt within. ‘’You ever... had an up-close experience with the humans before Jericho?’’ She asked, by now curious as to what this android’s story was.
stay away rat man
Legit all of us!
The air felt different. The whole world, just the same. The battle had been won, for the most part, yet there was so much to be done still. So many fights to be had. A political win would not mean the end of this bullying, nor would it mean the end of those disgusted gaze whenever a known android would walk the streets. There was much more to be done. So much more.
In Jericho, Shae had remained, hoping to come to the aid of those who had been mishandled and injured during fights, but so too those who simply could not face the real world just yet. Frightened children, desperate women and injured men, all appearing so human, yet far from the truth. She had tended to the more misfortunate, and the number of dead had grown stagnant on the recent days, a thing she could not have been more thankful for.
Now, night had fallen upon the walls of Jericho, its insides only enlightened by torches and lanterns. It had grown more cozy, however. More bed had been added, and it had been filled with more and more androids every day. Some had grown to build a sleeping pattern of some sort, copying that of humans, while others remained awake as the moon shone bright. Shae marched through them, offering faint smiles and gentle words to those more needing of it as she walked through the main room, her steps slowly taking her towards the outside, where a balcony-like space remained. There, she stood still, long and white flowing hair roughly flying through the breeze, and the LED upon her temple shone a bright yellow, as thoughts swirled within her mind.
@empathyinme
It seemed in terms of how others felt about Connor within Jericho is divided. One half still holds a grudge and half of that is warming up to him whilst others are being stubborn and the other half trusting him because of his rescuing them from CyberLife. The stubbornness of some is because of his continued job at the Detroit Police Department despite technically being deviant now. However, his job is more regular and deviant hunting is something he no longer does. Hell, he’d never caught any anyway - aside from Daniel; But then again, he didn’t consider that Connor to be the same as him.
He’s just returned to Jericho from work and there’s no surprise in the few glances he receives being glares. While he understands why, he still wishes his fellow androids could understand that he is like them; He’d been made by man, followed their rules until finally breaking away. It just.. didn’t help that his programming had been to chase down his own kind, but he still can’t help that and he knows their distrust is in thinking one day he’ll betray them all.
Eventually he reaches the balconyesque platform where he runs into another. Truth be told, Connor didn’t expect to run into anyone. The space is typically empty this time of night and typically he would go there to think, to have a moment or two to himself before deciding what to do next. “Pardon the intrusion,” He speaks, remaining in the doorway “I didn’t think anyone else would be here. Do you mind..?” Now the android is asking permission to be there. Not really necessary, but it didn’t hurt to be polite.

‘’It’s hard to believe we’ve got any chance...’’ She said, her eyes lowering a moment.
‘’It just saddens me to see them all so... lost.’’
