CALLING ALL BOOK READERS!
I need help finding a book I can't remember the title or author of.
Even if you don't know anything please reblog just to spread it around.
I read this book 10 years ago so bare with me.
The covor of the book is very dark green, almost black, shiny paper with a lighter shade of green cats head in the middle. It's a drawn cat. Looking dead on, no expression.
The book itself is I'm guessing aimed at young tweens/teens/adults.
It's about a girl who has a black cat. Her bedroom window looks out at the neighbouring lot that doesn't have anything built in it.
Throughout the book she sees ghosts and apparitions in this lot through her window.
The story I think is told from the POV of the cat who I think had a weird name.
The cat goes out to discuss the weird happenings with other neighbourhood animals.
I think I remember a cockatoo and a blue tongued lizard.
In the beginning of the novel there's a part where the girl is trying to coax the cat out from under a piece of furniture.
The climax of the novel has the neighbourhood animals facing off with the spirits in the vacant lot.
They're described as sludge looking. I don't remember much about faces or clothing of the ghosts but they're like moving shadows. Dark and colourless.
During this battle, one of the ghost things latches onto the lizards tail, possessing him.
In an attempt to free himself from this thing, he drops his tail, as some lizards do.
I don't remember much else but if any of this rings a bell to anyone please tell me!!!
I'm going out of my head not remembering the title!!!
