Little-Golden-Book-esque Spryo gouache painting. Still can't get my head around that we're actually getting another one. Dawn of the Dragon was (and I'm coming to find for others too) a favorite to play with my brother as a kid (any quality issues were stubbornly ignored). Assumed the legacy was just going to end there!

3rd design trade, this one with Robo-dragon! They asked for a mix between a whale and a turtle or a bat and a giraffe. As I’ve seen the first done before, and had never thought of the second, I decided to go with it! This was fun! :) I hope you like it!

My half of a design trade for whip-o-will, who requested something sleek, flimsy, and able to fly. I haven't designed creatures in a while, and have never made a proper design sheet for one, so this was an interesting learning experience. Thanks for the opportunity whip-o-will!

This little critter lives in the forest, eating fruits, nuts, and small birds. The extremely long tail is carried around on its back, although it will often relax its tail into a pile during sleep.

Tutorial: from paper to digital.

Hey ya’ll! I’m not much of a tutorial person, but this was a technique that I learned from Syuzuki, one of my favorite artists back in the day, when I was 13. I memorized the technique and it’s been one of the most useful things I can do on photoshop. This was something that really helped me, and I hope that it will be useful for even some of you.

In this tutorial, I will be going step by step how I take something from my sketchbook and color it on photoshop.
