I’m a firm believer in the law of attraction. If you aren’t too familiar with that term, it basically states that the energy you put into the universe will manifest itself back into your life. I am thoroughly , one hundred percent positive that is exactly how i met this woman. i had just left a long term, long distance relationship with the woman i thought to be the ‘love of my life’. me and my ex both realized that we were completely different people, living completely different lives, and the hundreds of miles in between made it no easier. after the breakup i was left with an awful taste in my mouth , and i wanted nothing to do with dating until i was where i wanted to be in life. I was very content with being single, because overall , I felt i was really content with where i was at in life spiritually and physically, and i also knew exactly what i wanted out of life as far as a career, and had a set path on how i was going to get it. I felt that any relationship would only keep me from obtaining my goals, and i told myself it would take a PERFECT woman for me to settle down again. I guess the universe was listening..…Along comes Martissa Williams; a pro black, self loving, sexually liberated, yoga practicing , feminist , that like a nurse performing CPR, breathed life into my existence. I had spent years studying the principles that this woman was raised on. The knowledge embedded deep within her character , contained many things I sought to bring about in myself. She is so loving, so kind, so endearing, so open minded. On our first date we spent what felt like an eternity staring into each other’s eyes– The Tibetan book of the dead states that before life begins, your soul chooses other souls to guide it through the next existence to help reconnect yourself with your purpose and divinity. Often times, we spend many incarnations with these beings. It’s said that when you meet them for the first time, you feel a sense of familiarity. That’s what it was like meeting Martissa for the first time.. Everything inside me screamed “ I know this girl!!” , although I had never met her. We even bounced ideas off of each other trying to figure out how we may have met, but there was no way, we weren’t even from the same state. She’s everything I could’ve ever wanted out of a woman, and a lot of things I didn’t know I needed. And yet the most beautiful part is, she sees me the exact same way,. She cares for me so selflessly, and truly embodies the purest forms of love. She respects and admires qualities in me that I don’t even think twice about, she fawns over my simplest mannerisms, and gushes over aspects of myself that I’m sometimes self conscious of. Her love builds me up and never takes away. As a photographer and song writer, a lot of my work is fueled by passion. Before I met her, I was in a creative lull, but since she’s come along, a fire burns deep inside of me , and it Drives me to constantly create. She is my muse. We both aim to start and own our own businesses with the intent to give back love and to teach the next generation, so even our professional paths align, in turn, my work has become her work, and hers has become mine, we learn together as we go Her mind effortlessly aligns with mine, so when we create together, we make magic. We can both sense-near and far, when the other person’s mood changes, and we can at times feel what the other feels. Together we completely embody true partnership, true togetherness, true connectivity. true love. I pray everyone meets their twin flame as I did. I pray everyone can find pure love as I have. I pray that one day the love her and I share can inspire people young and old to love selflessly and unconditionally. I used to fear love, I used to resent romance, but this woman opened up my heart, mind and soul and reminded me how beautiful it can truly be
