Hey ya’ll if you have pets you want me to draw, whatever they are be it something furry, slimy or crawly please send in a picture!

It’s hard to find peoples animals on tumblr because people don’t post a super ton about them, and when they do they’re often untagged. My goal is to draw one on the daily though.

Last night, at around midnight I found Taterington Van Helsing the Vampire Slayer (Tater for short) laying in an odd position in his cage. He barely responded when I tried to give him a treat and I knew then that he would not make it through the night. I had the honor of laying with him, singing and telling stories for the next 2.5 hours before he died at 2:20 AM. I knew as I gave his body to his brother Tofu that a great loss has occurred. Tofu and the rest of the toddlers groomed him, anointed his head with water and give him pellets to take with him into the great beyond. I know Tofu will miss him the most.

Tater was an excellent leader to his mischief and a wonderful trouble maker, often bullying the younger rats just because. He was snarky yet charming and my best friend. He was the oldest of the mischief and I knew his time was coming soon, but still, his death felt sudden. Still, he died peacefully and in the arms of someone who loves him dearly. His loss reverberates throughout my mischief and my entire home.

Rest in peace Taterington Van Helsing, after all the chaos you brought in your wake, you deserve it. Thank you for letting me share your last moments with you.

@pangur-and-grim there is not a lot I can say about losing a furfriend that I’m sure you haven’t heard already, but please know that Cheifcake is being mourned in my house as well. I send you all my love.
