I think there's a great chance the existence of mirrors/reflective surfaces silently fucks Rocky up.

Like, Grace is in the bathroom, shaving, the curtain pulled to the side and suddenly he stops and says "stop touching my stuff". Rocky, frozen, somewhere behind him, can't fathom how Grace sensed that. He was so quiet. The razor is so loud. Grace's still facing away from him. What the fuck.

Grace repairing some panel or other and asks for a tool. Without even turning around, he says "no, not that one, the one to its left". Rocky's like are you shitting me. I know for a fact your hearing is ass. You can only see in one direction and I'm not in it!! What?!

i made this up when i was a little kid and nothing would make me happier than to see people celebrating it for years to come

think of the beautiful moments from your life. for many of them you probably feel, as we all do, like you only noticed them after they happened, by looking back. this usually does not diminish their beauty but sometimes it's also a melancholy feeling. Zenquish is my favorite holiday because it removes the guilt and the obligation to nail down and notice the exact moment. by the time it has come it is gone, and no matter how closely you watch the clock you will miss the instant of it.

in my opinion -- and i am just one celebrant, not the authority on what Zenquish means -- but to me, the spirit of Zenquish is to plan something nice to do, and then do it, forgetting the clock, and at some point you will glance over and see that sometime during the pleasant minutes Zenquish has come and gone, like all of our time will, and you remember that the time itself isn't important as long as you feel sure that whenever the actual Moment was, it found you living well.

Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??
