কার হাসি কে হাসে! সত্যিকার অর্থে, ভারত তার কোন রাজ্যের কোন নাগরিকদের নাগরিকত্ব বাতিল করল কি না, সেটা নিয়ে মাথা ঘামানোর বিষয় না বাংলাদেশের। ওটা ওদের অভ্যন্তরীণ বিষয়। কিন্তু যখনি তারা তাদের নাগরিকদের "সাবেক বাংলাদেশি" বলে এদেশে জোরপূর্বক ঢুকিয়ে দেয়ার চেষ্টা করবে তখুনি সেটা আর তাদের অভ্যন্তরীণ বিষয় থাকবে না। এই অবস্থায় বাংলাদেশের কঠোর অবস্থান ও প্রতিরোধ একমাত্র উপায় নিজের সার্বভৌমত্ব রক্ষার। এবং এই পরিস্থিতি অচিরেই শুরু হতে যাচ্ছে।

আরও কয়েকটা দিনের মতো আজকেরটাও হতে পারতো; নিমেষেই হঠাত্ করে বাঁ পাশটায় লুকিয়ে রাখার মতো.. সাঁঝের ঘেরাটোপে অাচ্ছাদিত মুহূর্তগুলোর মতো এক্কেবারে নিমগ্ন, নিশ্চুপ কষ্টের সাথে আজ গল্প জমেছে বেশ।

তুমি, ক্যামনে… পারবা না অন্য চিন্তাগুলোকে ভিরতে দিচ্ছে না; যদি কিছু হয়ে যায়? তুমি তো বুঝবা না এটা- আজাইরা আমি। তুমিও জানো, বুঝো- এটা আমার স্বভাবজাত বদভ্যেস।
