I have been on hiatus for this blog for a minute, right around the porn purge killed a lot of content creators blogs. Since then, there’s has been a steady decline of reader interaction among the fanfic communities (it was already kind of bad but there was a lot more interaction then there is now).
Writing as always been a passion of mine and to be quite honest, I think I’m pretty ducking good at it. One day, I’d like to publish my own novel(s) and fanfiction writing is like an exercise of how to generate ideas, syntax, writer’s voice, etc. With that, I would like feedback. I do this for free (I tried to make a little money but that failed). It takes a lot of mental strength to write, on top of my mental illnesses and irl obligations. All I want is to know that people are reading my work and enjoying it. Here’s the problem.
Likes do shit for writers. They stay hidden in your likes, buried to never be revisited (I know this because I have way too many likes posts that unfortunately will never see the light of day). For content creators on this site, reblogs are essential to our growth and exposure as creators. I understand that you may be embarrassed by the fic you read—it may be taboo or you don’t want to offend your followers. I get that! But just know, liking a post doesn’t share that work with other people who would like to read it and share it with others.
On top of that, we have to address the elephant in the room; race. I’m a black woman (non-binary but female aligned). My work always has pieces of me in it and is written with the black woman in mind. Does that mean no other races can read it? Absolutely not! But think about the more popular writers on here, they’re all white. Why are people more willing to boost white writers and not black ones (I’m speaking specifically about black writers here because I am black)? You can’t put yourself in the shoes of a black woman for a couple hundred, thousand words but I’m support to read for clearly white coded characters my whole life? The fuck outta here. It’s racism. Black writers like me don’t have huge following because of racism. Full stop.
It has been a long and discouraging journey as a creator on tumblr for the past only god knows years. I do not ever plan to stop writing but I will no long write new content for this blog. I will try to finish the stories that I had planned for the page but no more. I’m tired of begging for readers, requests, etc. I just will not do it anymore. This isn’t a win for white people on here, I’ll be publishing work on my Ao3 if you want to keep reading my work. This is simply me removing myself from a toxic environment.
All I can say is that I am ashamed of the fandom community on here. Marvel, DC, etc. All of them. They’re all racist. Period. If you can’t read a story that doesn’t have a main character that isn’t white, shame on you. You’re racist. There’s no other word or explanation for it that isn’t soaked in racist rhetoric. Black women have had no representation our whole lives in fandom/media so now you know what it feels like. It should bother you and challenge you to do better but it won’t because many of you are racist and selfish. And if you feel offended by this post, then it’s about you specifically.
I have met so many awesome black writers who have since left tumblr, some of whom I unfortunately can’t find. Those who’ve stayed, I cherish our friendship and will continue to support their work. But for me, it’s so long to writing from this page and for anyone who isn’t me. If you want stuff from me, you have to pay me.
This blog will stay up and active but solely as a marvel blog. I’ll continue to reblog fics I enjoy but won’t post any new stories that I don’t already have planned. All this goes for my main blog as well.
For those of you who have supported me, thank you and I hope to see you on Ao3 or whoever else I publish my work.
Hi everyone!!! I know I’ve been gone for a while but life has been…life. As y’all may remember, I lost my job in 2024 and had to move back home which has been interesting. Just as I was settling in, a cousin I was close to unexpectedly passed away and I shut down. I was in a pretty bad spot mentally but I came out of it toward the end of the year. 2025 was hopeless on the job hunt but at the beginning of this year, I decided to get back in the saddle.
And I do have good news! I got a job!
I start next Monday (!!) and I’m super excited for it but the downside is that my most recent bills have drained my savings so I’m a bit stressed about how I’ll get to work (it’s in person unfortunately). To make matters more annoying, my employer hasn’t told me where to report to yet (organizing jobs are weird like this) so I can’t even try to work out my transportation budget 😭 I really don’t want to lose this opportunity so I’m asking if yall could help me raise $300 for transportation. I think this should cover me until I get paid by my new job.
It’s been such a struggle getting here but I’m proud of myself for sticking with it even when things felt pretty hopeless. Business is slow for my parents so I can’t really ask for their help right now. So back to e-begging on tumblr I guess 😭💀😅 I know shit is tough for everyone right now but I hope people can help me out will. Tumblr has always come through to help its own and I always try to drop a few dollars to campaigns on here when I can. If you’re unable to help, that’s okay please reblog to extend this post’s reach!

I looked into mutual aid funds in my area and they’re basically nonexistent or their funding cycles are closed at the moment 😭
Not to quote Princess Leia but Tumblr, you’re my only hope! A ride from my place to the train station is ~$25 each way and the train is 2.50. I did get the address for where I need to report for the week but I’m trying to plan for the next two weeks and I think 300 should be enough for now. I greatly appreciate the help on this final leg of the journey. It’s been rough but it’s almost over!

For the last time (I hope) I need help making rent. I lost my job in November and now have to move back home (not great). I’m behind on my rent and need to clear my balance before moving out in the 30th otherwise my building will take me to court and that would be even worse. Any little bit helps.
