I kinda hope that Rhea can eventually separate Edelgard, mainly young El but potentially even the Emperor in CF, from the tyrant Rhea assumes her to be and even realize that it was the obsession with returning to and maintaining status quo that gave the Agarthans their opening to threaten Fódlan and led to Rhea’s death in the first place

It's definitely a long road ahead for Rhea!! Though i think the chances of her gradually becoming more receptive to a change in perspective would be possible because her present companions (seteth, flayn, catherine, etc) are still alive & healthy in this timeline! (This plus her knowing the truth behind edelgard's 2nd crest & siblings.) Again, will take quite a lot of effort & time from both her & the people around her but it should be possible.

And uh i know i've been depicting rhea-young edelgard in a more angsty/tense vibe so far but!! I do want to explore more of rhea's tenderness towards young edie in future works ❤️💚 i want to atleast depict them having a form of mutual understanding for one another
