given his markedly short lifespan and, consequently, lack of any real experience beyond being used by the decay of the angel, it almost goes without saying that you’re the first person that sigma has ever been with and, thus, that the poor guy is relatively anxious about messing things up and losing the only real home he’s ever had as a result — which is a fear he’ll get better at coping with the longer you’re together and the more secure he feels in your relationship… but until that point his anxieties will be something you’ll have to learn how to deal with together as a unit
he does use his ability on you every now and then — much less often than he did back when you first started seeing each other (when he was still immensely insecure about his lack of life experience and a recurring victim of his own overthinking) and now only with your express consent, but it’s still a thing that comes up once in a while
very touch starved and very fond of physical touch as a love language, even though it takes him a while to feel comfortable initiating it — like it’s obvious how much he loves being able to lay on top of you while you play with his hair and scratch his scalp, and how much it soothes him to be smothered with kisses after a long day of work, but it takes a long time for him to feel confident enough to consistently ask for what he wants (no matter how often you tell him that you’d happily give him the world itself if he asked… but that’s just a consequence of the life he lived before you met)
goes red from his clavicle to the tips of his ears and visibly softens whenever you call him something sappy and sweet like ‘honey’ or ‘baby’ or ‘sweetheart’, especially ‘my love’, so don’t let him try and tell you that he doesn’t love it when you call him a term of endearment
he’s big on quality time as a love language as well, and that doesn’t mean just going out on dates — just existing with you, alongside you, as you both do chores or decompress or run errands together is more than enough for him. because you’re his person, his home, and he doesn’t need you to make a fuss or put on a performance to make him feel loved
sigma does get better at dealing with this as he gets more confident in his own identity and in your relationship, but he is a very insecure and jealous partner — like in the first few months of your relationship he had recurring nightmares of you leaving him for someone better, stable, more human, more real than him, and that only made him all the more upset whenever anyone else did flirt with you in real life (he hid it relatively well — his time at the casino helped him develop a pretty solid poker face, after all — and never took it out on you, but it was still there and it was something he knew he needed to work on, and did)
very protective over you. you’re his person, his home, his heart, and while he may not want to hurt or kill anyone he’s also not above it if ever the situation arises. after all, while he may have come quite far from the person he was during the casino incident, he’s still just as willing to go to whatever lengths he has to in order to keep his reason for living, in this case you, safe
his favourite places to be kissed are his lips, his fingertips, his neck, and the middle of his chest — and, in return, his favourite places to kiss you are your lips, your forehead, your palms, and your shoulders
he’s a bit traditional and makes an effort to be as much of a gentleman as possible while you’re together — holding open doors for you, pulling out your chair before you can, carrying your bags, offering you his coat, etc. — but he does cut it back a bit if you tell him he doesn’t actually need to do all of that for you (he is a bit embarrassed at first as he thought he was doing precisely what a good boyfriend should — not average, good — but he also loves you and is open enough the feedback that you give him… after all, you have more experience with this whole ‘being human’ thing so it only makes sense)
dotes on you so much whenever you’re sick or injured — hovering, keeping track of any medications you need to take, making sure you eat perfectly balanced food on a set schedule, badgering you into staying hydrated, and just generally making sure your recovery is as smooth as possible (and he’s only slightly overbearing about it)
