"You don't scare me" Tsume softly spoke to IA. She could break out of these handcuffs, but that would risk her being killed and breaking her friend's promise
IA smiles a comforting smile under the mask, one she has been programmed to do when dealing with the situation at hand. The humans didn’t want to come near the girl, assuming her physical traits gave indication of gender the same way humans did, so they sent the android.
“My name is IA,” she adjusted the wiring and readied her syringe. “I am not trying to harm you. But please, tell me if I can make you more comfortable. Except getting out of course.”
“The IA I knew would never do this. You are going to regret it.” She could see Kaiju in the mirror in on the other side of the room on the table instead of her. “You asked me before they erased your memories IA, if I will still be your friend. I made that promise IA. If you do this, I will break that promise to you by dying.” She looked at her in the eye. “Don’t do this.”
That wasn’t how patients reacted. Emotional manipulation? Maybe. So why was it working?
“I...” Her hand loosened its grip on the syringe. “... Who are you?”
Her eyes glazed over to the people behind her, watching and ready to take notes. Was it possible to truly kill this girl? Death seemed so foreign to her, since she would never die. Besides that, the girl seemed strong enough to break the chains. But she had orders to follow.
Still... maybe she could bend them a little. Pretending to insert the syringe, she looked at the girl. “Give me one good reason to trust you. Right now, please.”
