I know that, living in Australia, I should be used to seeing bushfires, but I can’t believe how far this one has gotten. Over 6,000 hectares!

The smoke seems to have died down now and we have been downgraded to a “watch and act” alert level but its still burning. If the wind stays away, firefighters should be able contain it pretty soon. They made great progress during the night.

So, a big shout out to all of the 200+ firefighters who have helped save homes and lives over the past 24 hours.
