//I have had some trouble getting back into rp since coming back from my hiatus and I want to explain why real quick. Since I returned, and I only managed to get a few replies out here and there, Iâve been bothered by the extreme negativity surrounding one of my Fandoms and its treatment of great Muns, especially those who play women muses, and its been going on even before my last hiatus and is escalating to the point that many, like my friends on here, view this particular Fandom as long dead. Iâve seen too many creative Muns leave their muses behind, whether they deactivate their blogs or not, and so many others, mainly the male muses in this case, constantly having to defend their choices on how to portray their own muses. I hate seeing people get bullied on and off anon, and in the past I have personally dealt with hate, not through anonymous, that nearly had me never play a woman muse again or even some of my male muses, until I was lucky to find the rp partners that I have on here. So, if I havenât gotten to a reply yet, I will this week, and it has nothing to do with you or our rp, I enjoy everything I do on here and appreciate all my writing partners, even the newest ones. If I havenât gotten to a message its because Iâm avoiding IM due to the fact its distracting, has been plagued by many viruses and spammers and I would rather talk ooc in posts, or through tags from now on. Its nice to see others do that and interact in a positive way, and my Ask, anon or not, is always there if you need to discuss things that are more personal, or if you wanna approach me for the first time. Maybe in the future Iâll go back to using IM but whether we are friends or just friendly, or even just mutuals or youâd like to just say something to me, having a more open communication does present a united front and keeps most of the haters from isolating people and ruining their experiences on here. Most of us just try to come here and do our replies, assuming that that should be enough for people to recognize that we like them, their writing and muses. And it should be but thereâs too much negativity popping up these days and people canât say anything, or in some cases take their time about when they say something by replying or sending a message, that starts some form of issues they didnât come here for. Now I intended this to be a short post and I am someone who hates attention, and its hard for me to even talk ooc to people I rp with already, so I can understand all yâall that get nervous, feel less confident on some days, and get very quiet on here at times because you feel nobody is paying attention. Shit, it takes me like ten minutes just to get the nerve up to reply to a message, even with my own friends sometimes, but yet I have never felt like I should âcritiqueâ someone or complain about something that logically is silly when placed in a real world setting offline. The only time Iâve managed to send an anon was once, and it was very positive and to see someoneâs mood brighten up and then see them branch out and their confidence grow was splendid and its not hard to tell somebody something good about them and their creativity. For me personally I donât give a shit about Fandoms, I care about those I rp with, those I follow and who follow me and I think more people just need to remember that there is a person behind a muse(s) and an individualâs respect and well being is far more important than a tumblr community, rp trend and the popular opinion of something that in the real world doesnât add up to much other than a conversation or two, not a barrage of anon hate after anon hate until somebody is driven away from something they love to do. The haters always move on to another target because in every case Iâve seen lately, and experienced back in the day myself, they canât exist on here without somebody to pick on and those who get targeted never really do anything that truly warrants it. Also keep in mind that if someone sends a negative anon you do have other followers that donât agree with them at all, and really like and respect you and your creativity.
