today’s Top Ten Tuesday (via The Broke and the Bookish) is: Top Ten Authors I Own The Most Books Of!
Enid Blyton - 44 books. The Adventure series, The Famous Five, Mallory Towers and The Twins at St Clare’s make up a whopping number, the most by any author I own since my Jacqueline Wilson collection went to the primary school around the corner.
Meg Cabot - 20 books! The Mediator and Princess Diaries series, as well as three Heather Wells mysteries and Avalon High. Gotta love Meg Cabot.
Lemony Snicket comes in at 13 with A Series of Unfortunate Events.
JK Rowling - 12 books. Aside from the seven HP, I also have Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the Tales of Beedle the Bard. I also own Chamber of Secrets in Spanish, and Prisoner of Azkaban in French. Philippa Gregory - 12. Mostly her Tudor Court novels, or the Plantagenet series with The White Queen. I have a fondness for her novels.
Sarah Dessen - 8. I missed one of her books off the picture by accident (Keeping The Moon) - oops! She’s an author i always recommend to people. Cassie Clare - 8. I’ve got the whole TMI series, as well as The Clockwork Prince and Clockwork Angel (though I’ve not read the latter two yet!) Jenny Nimmo - 8 again. The Charlie Bone collection! Anthony Horowitz - 8. Most of his Alex Rider novels.
John Green - 7. Counting his collab novels (Let It Snow and Will Grayson, Will Grayson) and my Spanish TFiOS ebook. George RR Martin - 7. The GoT collection so far!
Melissa de la Cruz - 6. I adore her Blue bloods series. So interesting!
Maureen Johnson - 5. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Maureen Johnson’s books and should probably invest in the rest of them! Malorie Blackman - 5. I consider this a pitifully small Malorie Blackman collection on my part. I just never got around to buying many of her other books outside of Noughts and Crosses.
Rainbow Rowell - 4. All of her books so far, including my recent purchase of a signed copy of Landline. I was feeling a little stingy last week so didn’t splurge on special editions of Fangirl, but bought some other books instead. Alyson Noel, Becca Fitzpatrick, JRR Tolkien, and Maggie Striefvater all tie in at four, too.
With 3 books apiece I’ve got: Sarra Mannng, Lauren Kate, Alex Flinn (modern fairy tale retellings are the BEST), Carrie Jones, Jane Austen, Victoria Lamb, and probably a lot more I can’t think of right now.
Those are the authors I own the most books of (as far as I could see from my bookshelves, anyway) - who are some of the authors you own most of?
