2013 - A Quick Recap

2013 has been an pretty eventful year for me. Looking back, here are some highlights:

Graduated from college with a degree in Entrepreneurship at San Beda College.

Got my first job in the real estate industry at our company, Pacific Concord Properties, Inc. as a Business Development Assistant.

Went to Seoul,Korea. My first out of the country trip in over a decade.

I got a Boston Terrier named Pako.

I fell in love.

Break Ups and Relationships

It really amazes me to see couples who have been together for years, it makes me wonder how they get through all those obstacles and trials that life throws at them. Being in a relationship is never easy but it's the willingness of two people who care enough about each other to make it work is what makes a relationship worthwhile. What really annoys me, however, are those couples who break up and get back together over and over again. I mean, why break up in the first place? You know you're getting back together anyway because you both know that whatever the hell it was that caused you to break up in the first place can never be as big as what the two of you have. We are not kids anymore so when you get in a relationship, most especially when you've already said the words "I love you", own up to it! I mean, seriously, do yourself a favor and grow up. If you find yourself having to break up with your partner just because things get a little tough and frustrating then let me break it down for you, you don't deserve to be in a relationship. The only people who deserve to be in a relationship are those who are willing to fight for it and actually value it enough to actually want to make it work, not someone who gives up impulsively just because the odds are not in their favor, knowing that they'll try and get back with their partner as soon as they come around to realize how much that person really means to them. Piece of advice - when you're upset about something, simply take some time to calm yourself down until you're ready to talk about it. It's really not that hard when you care about someone as much as you claim to. Just my thoughts from observation.

When everything finally falls into place, the only thing left to do is ask for humility.

Ignorance Is Bliss

Finding out about the truth and realizing you would've been happier if you hadn't makes no sense to me at all. It just makes you feel stupid for believing otherwise and you'll come to think that you've been foolish for not seeing it coming.

The truth does not need to be confronted, it just has to be made aware of to you so if in any case things don't go as well, you won't be caught off guard and you can tell yourself, "No wonder, I saw it coming anyway..."

The worst part of ignorance is that reality catches up to you when you least expect it. It's always better to be prepared for whatever information that gets thrown your way.

We need to gather up the strength to be prepared for the truth and be strong enough to accept whatever it is. Don't let yourself fall short in the losing end because you chose to shut the truth that you deserve to know.
