UPDATE ON ALL WIPS - HIATUS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

i know i've been very inactive with everything lately, but unfortunately it's going to be a while yet before i can go back to doing any sort of writing. my health has taken a turn for the worse thanks to my Crohns, and because of that, i'm set to go in for surgery on jun 15th. it's nothing huge, just an intestinal resection, but recovery will take some time. and sadly, the things i was hoping i would get to do will have to be on the backburner while i recover from this. my mental state is already going down the proverbial toilet because of this and i'd rather not throw something out there that was written when my depression and anxiety are at an all time high.

i hope my followers understand and respect this decision.

this isn't an i'm done forever...merely a pause while i get my really, REALLY, crappy health back on track (if that's even possible at this point.)

What I do find low key funny is that in most shows/movies, when a character goes through their Traumatic Incident™️, they're almost always very tight lipped and secretive about what happened to them.

However if you speak to Edwin Payne for more than 20 minutes, not only will he tell you that he was in Hell, he'll give you a time scale and recommendations for restaurants there. He's leaving catty reviews on TripAdvisor. He's the Edwardian equivalent of a vlogger who had a bad time at a starbucks and has to make a 40+ minute call out video. Conceptually he should be Broody and Mysterious but he's fundamentally too much of a gay little bitch to keep shit to himself.

There was a stoner I liked very much when I was playing age of Conan some ten or more years ago. He would roll up into the vent, yell my name and rip a fat one on mic before vanishing again. Always made me feel special. It was like a dog that would greet you by barking as loud as possible and wagging his tail so hard it leaves a dent in the wall when your car rolls up. Everyone was luke warm to cold on him but he was my fucking buddy and I loved him because he made me feel wanted which I sure as shit wasn’t getting at home!!

Eventually I made the decision to start emulating behaviors that made me feel happy and started doing that in other places. To this day my whole discord chants the nickname of whomever joins the call, like a pack of seagulls who just locked eyes on a delicious spare French fry. There’s nothing quite as amazing as walking into a room and hearing a chorus of loved ones drawing out your name like they were going to sweep you off your feet if they could, slash like a pack of feral dogs ready to bowl you the fuck over.
