We pray on our feet, not on our knees.
We pray with the highest reverence, not with fear.
We pray with hand claps, foot stomps, gyrating hips and smiling mouths, not with non-exuberant stillness and solemnity.
We invite our Ancestral Spirits to join us, not lock them away in tombs and earth to be forgotten about and should they appear, we don’t call someone to drive them away.
When our prayers are answered, we celebrate and everyone is blessed. “If I eat, you belly dem full”...
