The Spider’s Web symbolizes:
- Patience
- Natural Ability
- Receptivity
- Creativity
The spider weaves her web patiently, carefully. No one has to teach the spider how to design her web- she does so on her own- naturally, instinctively. She uses her intuition and imagination to weave the perfect web to manifest her own abundance.
What guidance can you take from the spider? What web can you weave to manifest abundance in your life?
Holistic Healing
GOTU KOLA
Gotu Kola is often referred to as an Herb of Enlightenment. It is considered a highly sacred herb all throughout India, China & in Central America because of its many healing properties. Gotu Kola is most known for its ability to improve brain function. It works to lateralize the left & right hemispheres of the brain to increase cognitive skills and abilities- including intelligence and memory. This herb is used in spiritual awareness practices, such as in meditation, for its ability to stimulate the crown chakra, which enhances our awareness. Gotu Kola boosts the nervous system and the immune system, promotes hair, skin and nail health, improves blood circulation, reduces fever, relieves stress and anxiety, defends the body against toxins, and accelerates wound and burn healing. It is antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogenic, antiseptic, antiviral, and antioxidant. In other words, when it comes to herbal healing, Gotu Kola is one herb that you MUST HAVE!

YOGA SESH!
Today we explore the Feathered Peacock yoga pose, also know as Pincha Mayurasana (best known simply as “forearm stand”). This pose improves balance and focus and assists us in releasing fear, anxiety, stress and negative emotions. It builds shoulder, leg, back, arm and ab muscles as it requires strength in all these areas to achieve and maintain the pose. Pincha Mayurasana also stretches the back, shoulders, and neck. As blood and energy flow to the brain, this pose is perfect for stimulating the higher chakras- particularly the third eye and crown chakras.
Thank you @squirrelwyde for showing us how to achieve this pose!

CRAFT OF THE WEEK
DIY Golden Succulent Vases
Looking to add some greenery to your scenery? Whether it’s in your living room, at the office, or on your porch garden, these golden succulent vases are the perfect accent to any space!
The most cost-friendly place to get multiple succulents from is Amazon, but you can also find them individually sold in the home garden section of Walmart or at your local home store. For your vases, your local Dollar Tree should have plenty of glass drinkware to choose from of many different shapes and sizes, and yes they are just $1 each! You can also grab a bag of pebbles and rocks for $1 there OR you can go out and pick some up around your home. The stones will be useful for draining purposes. If you follow the Amazon link above, you’ll have 5 succulents to plant so 5 will be a good number of glass cups to purchase from the dollar store. Lastly you will just need gold (or the color of your choice) spray paint which you can find from $4-$8 or on clearance at your local Walmart or your local craft supplies store.
To make your colored vase, first you will tape a folded sheet of newspaper around the outside and rim of your glass cup. Next, spray paint the inside of the glass. Lastly, add your rocks to the bottom of your vase, topped with your succulent plant. Follow care directions that come with your succulent or google how to care for your specific type of succulent to keep it living and thriving!
Submit a pic of your succulent vases to our Submissions page or post it to your social media with the hashtag #EveryDayICreate, We’ll feature your creation on The Creatress Corner!

Recipe of the Day
California Nori Rolls
Here's a quick, delicious, RAW meal that will leave you feeling fresh to life! The best part about Nori Rolls is that you can use whatever veggies you'd like to create yours. Today we are using the California Nori Roll recipe from Aya Cafe's ebook, 14 Days Vegan. The ingredients needed to create yours are:
- Nori Seaweed Sheets (12 pack) - 2 Avocados - 1 Cucumber (large) - 1 Bell Pepper (large) - 2 Cups Quinoa
First you will cook your quinoa with 4 cups of water until it boils. While the quinoa is heating up, slice your avocados, bell pepper & cucumber into long wedges. Once the quinoa is at a boil, lower the heat and season it as you'd like. Let the water be absorbed and evaporated until all that is left is your quinoa, light and fluffy. Next you will spread the warm quinoa onto your nori sheet, leaving about an inch of space empty at the end of your sheet. Add 2 cucumber slices, 2 bell pepper slices & 2 avocado slices to the sheet. Tuck the sheet under the veggie slices and roll it all the way to the end, sealing it with the inch of space left without quinoa. Do this for as many nori rolls as you'd like. You can eat them whole or slice them up!
14 Days Vegan is available for a FREE download with the coupon code LOVE for the whole month of January! Make sure you get your copy!
We would love to feature your California Nori Rolls on The Creatress Corner. Post yours with the hashtag #EveryDayICreate or submit them to our Submit Your Creations page!

Natarajasana stretches the abs, thighs & groins, as it opens up the chest and encourages focus and concentration. This pose can help to create balance within the sacral, solar plexus, and heart chakras.

DIY BEAUTY
NATURAL & NON-TOXIC EYELINER
With so many of today’s top eyeliner brands using toxic chemicals in their products (such as thimerosal, lead, turpentine, aniline & perservatives), it is a great time to begin creating your own all-natural, toxin-free eyeliner!
The key ingredient to natural eyeliner is activated charcoal. Though for this particular formula, it is being used for its color and its powder consistency, activated charcoal has a number of great uses and benefits for natural healing and beauty, so it is certainly an investment worth making. You can purchase activated charcoal powder from Amazon for as low as $8 bucks or get it in capsule form at your local Walmart or Walgreens.
For this recipe you will need:
- 1 tsp (4-5 capsules) of activated charcoal
- 3/4 tsp of coconut oil (or the oil of your choice)
- 1/4 tsp of aloe vera gel (optional).
You will also need a small container and an eyeliner brush for storage and application. Simply mix all the ingredients together in your container. Feel free to tweak the mixture to your desired consistency and/or color by adding more oil or powder. Store your creation in a cool, dark place!
We would love to see you wearing your new eyeliner! Submit a pic to our Submission page or post your picture with the hasthag #EveryDayICreate
