Greetings! I am The Wandering Bard. Welcome to my blog. Come, pull up a chair, sit by the fire, and enjoy your stay. Header by erupan. Icon by my friend JDDoodles!
I have many varying interests, and I do my best to tag things appropriately. If you want to know what a certain tag is for or if you need something tagged, then ask me!
I am an adult, and if you need to distance yourself from me for your own comfort, that is completely fine with me. Please do what you need to.
My blog is a safe space for people of all races, ethnicities, beliefs, abilities, body types, genders, and orientations. There is no room here for hatred or bigotry and such things will not be tolerated.

🪄⚔️ hellooooo fantasy lovers! ⚔️🪄
the World Beyond the Wand transmasc fantasy zine is officially open for preorders--and boy, have we got a lot to share this time around!
here's the order form
if you've bought our zines before, this order form is new--read on below the cut for a little more detail...
so what's up with that order form?
since we're offering a digital-only zine this time, we need no funds to produce zines.
so we're cutting out the middleman--buyers now donate directly to Rainbow Railroad and show us proof of donation.
Your donation provides immediate support to LGBTQI+ individuals facing persecution. Make a donation today.
at the end of the sales period, we'll go through the form and send over everyone's files--and the money will have already made it to Rainbow Railroad, without any extra fees or taxes that would normally be associated with one of us receiving the money and then donating it.
so they get more money!

Hey everyone. There's a new youtube feature that rolled out just yesterday that's raising some privacy concerns.
People in the U.S., U.K., Brazil, and Singapore can now share videos and chat with friends directly within the YouTube app. The update bring
This post talks about a new DM feature in youtube. What it fails to mention is that as part of this new feature is that when you send someone a link to a video, and they open it in the youtube app, they will see who sent them the link. Specifically, your channel name.
If your google account name is your real name, so is your channel name by default.
This means the new default behavior is that everyone you send a youtube link to will see your full name if they open it in the mobile app.
To turn this off:
Go to your youtube app settings
Go to Privacy
Turn off "Channel visibility for shared links"
Trimming the source id (the stuff after the '?' in links) will also prevent this from happening.

“A queer-focused TTRPG that employs art and dream elements to paint narratives about finding yourself and fighting your demons. Community, cooperation, rampant self-love, nightmarish enemies, and the beauty of embracing what you've been taught to ignore.”
I've had the pleasure of being a beta tester for this system, and I've been having a lot of fun with it! Very narrative/character driven, with simple grid combat rules: it's an interesting combination. Also the PCs are funky critter-creature people, my favorite! You're offering me the chance to play a scrunkly little fox with transformation powers? Yes please.
1. The court holds Google responsible for statements made by its AI, considering them Google's statements (search engines have limited liability for results in their engine as they're the words of other sites/companies/people), meaning when their AI lies/hallucinates they're liable for the defamation/harm resulting from those statements.
2. Google's defense that customers are generally aware of the lack of reliability and are responsible for fact checking was dismissed. As the court pointed out, that would "significantly diminish" AI Search's stated purpose and it can't be distinguished from Google's business practices/statements as a search tool.
3. Studies have found about 91% of Google's everyday AI responses are accurate, leaving millions of searches per HOUR with potential liability for falsehoods. 56% of correct responses weren't supported by the sources the AI listed. Both of which mean Google is now liable for a LOT more AI "errors."
4. Google was held liable for 80% of court costs in this case and this precedent is expected to reverberate around the world. This is a massive shift from the 3rd-party search provider role Google has previously played and it comes right as they've tied ALL searches to their AI search.
5. If the words are Google's, this solidifies the position of universities who demand that all answers from AI are fully cited. If all the in-line citations now have to be (Google, 2026), that's going to make it obvious when someone's trying to use Google as a source. There's still the difficulty with people who are academically dishonest by trying to pass off the AI writing as their own.
6. 91% accuracy is officially too low to use as a source of references, which means the AI can't be used as a source of references either. This makes it less legitimate for such purposes than Wikipedia of all places (Wikipedia might need date/time proof of when it was accessed for the reference to be valid, but at least it is possible to prove the link existed at a particular date and time).
7. This will help encourage the rollout of courses on how to avoid AI search for students who need academic accuracy, because it's statistically not good enough to use.
8. This strengthens the case intellectual property authors have against Google in the EU, as this is proof that an intellectual property transfer took place.
