Nights in NY || Valdaya

SHIP: Valdaya TIME: 8 PM Wednesday night PLACE: Val’s apartment  NOTES: Zendaya’s coming over and Val is nervous as hell.

ZENDAYA:

The door swung open and she was greeted by that oh-so-irresistible smile of his. Zendaya quickly returned it and leaned into his kiss. Was it possible for a person to actually melt into a pool of goop, because she’s pretty sure she just did. Well, not literally! Wrapping her own arms around him, she couldn’t stop the small shiver that ran down her spine from his warmth. She had it really bad. “Thanks Val," she replied happily at his compliment.

However, soon frowned at the loss of body contact but soon to find her hand in his, as if it was the most normal thing in the world to them. “Oh, you know Anna. She’s amazing! Even if she does throw you off with all her mind tricks," Zendaya answered with a thoughtful smile before getting lost in the smell of pizza. It was sweet that he actually put in a pizza just for her. Val had always been on her for her junk food habit, well addiction is more what he called it! 

"Now that I think about it, I’m starving!" And it was true, then again she was always hungry for a slice of the ‘zza. Her eyes wandered around the place and she had to admit he had good taste. However, it wasn’t surprising. He dressed himself well so his pad should reflect his style! “Your place is really nice," Zendaya complimented as she strayed away from him to get a better look at some photos she spotted.

VAL:  Val was incredibly happy right now. Just the smile on her face made his own light up. It was crazy how much of an impact the girl had on his life. Without her he'd still be some huge playa right now, probably recording the sequel to the WBB. "Hey no problem. You know how much I like to compliment you." He laughed and walked her over to the kitchen bar, pulling out one of the stools for her to sit on. "Ah yeah, Anna's mind tricks are the best. I swear I think she reads minds." Anna had been a huge help for him. She had kept him calm throughout his whole 'Im inlove with a 16 year old' freak out that he had been dealing with for quite some time now. It was incredible to realize just how much she meant to him. The true definition of a big sister. "Don't let her get fiesty with ya though, Just get feisty right back." He chuckled, walking to the other side of the bar and leaning on his elbows. Val looked at her for a moment, just taking in the excitement of her actually being there with him, before turning around to pull the pizza out of the oven. He cut a few slices and put a plate out infront of her. When she mentioned his house he looked around, raising his eyebrow and smiling back at her. "Well thank you. You know how I like to keep it fly." he shrugged taking a bite of his pizza. "So, do you have anything you want to do tonight?"

ZENDAYA:

The young girl walked up to the elevator and pressed the button nervously. She such a bundle of nerves, neither Anna’s and or hers was helping her in this very moment. This was completely new. Val and her being completely alone, and not one pair of eyes would be on them tonight. Zendaya shifted from side to side, almost nearly jumping out of her skin when the elevator ‘dinged’! Striding into the contraption, she pressed the number Val’s apartment was located on and leaned against the mirrored wall. That gave her an idea,better look myself once over!

Turning to look at her reflection, she couldn’t help but suddenly feel very self conscious. Which was new to her because she usually didn’t care about her appearance so much. Yes, she had that off say but didn’t all girls? This was all his doing! When the elevator came to a stop she hesitated walking out, maybe she could ride it a few times? Now that was just ridiculous! 

Zendaya picked her chin up and made her way out. Looking left and right, not sure which way the numbers went. When she figured that out it took no time to find his door. “Now or nothing… you’ve got this!" She whispered to herself before running her hands through her hair once and knocking. 

VAL: Knock. Knock. Knock. The sound of the door pulled Val out of this weird mood he had been in for the past few days. He was feeling all of a sudden incredibly giddy, but still very nervous. He hadn't felt like such a teenaged boy in his entire life. Hell, even when he was a teenaged boy he didn't feel like one. He had never needed to put much effort into women. They'd generally just come straight to him. He didn't have to make any romantic gestures or anything like that because 99% of the time it had just been about the hook up. He hated feeling like this, like he was so new to everything. He wanted to make things perfect for Zendaya, but he just didnt know how. Val took a deep breath and walked towards the door, oepening it with a smile on his face. Zendaya looked just as beautiful as she always did. Her shorts were sinfully short (he contemplated getting onto her about that. People could see.) and they showed off her legs that went on for miles. She looked cute as hell in her sweatshirt and flats, and he was so glad she didn't cake on the makeup. Zendaya looked at her most beautiful when she was natural.  "Wow, Daya, you look gorgeous." he smiled and leaned in to pull her in for a forhead kiss and a hug. "How's your time with my favourite angry Russian?" He reached down to hold her hand, a gesture that he never thought twice about, and closed the door behind them. "Do you want anything? I put a pizza in the oven earlier it should be about ready."

It had been entirely too long since Val had seen Zendaya. It was hard to go from seeing her every day to being without her for over a month. He missed her. Everything about her, really. Her hair, her long legs, her willingness to do whatever she could to do her best, the way she inspired kids, her laugh.... Everything. Seeing her the night before had been the best thing to had happened to him in a while. They got back into the swing of things really easily and quickly. It was as if they hadn't skipped a beat. 

He was nervous as hell for tonight. He felt this crazy amount of pressure to make sure that his intentions were pure and that there wasn't a single moment of awkwardness throughout the night. They were used to being alone together. It wasn't the first time it had happened. But tonight was different. Tonight felt more like a date then a casual hangout. That was the scary part of the entire thing, because he didn't know if either one of them were ready for their dynamic to change.  He sighed and walked over to his radio, turning on some quiet music to listen to while he waited for her to show up. tonight was going to be interesting.
