Wow I really need to get back here... But now that there are some quality RPers skulking around the SK fandom I may just be able to get some actual threads going. I'll be damned.Â
So if you wanna come interact with Lydia and/or Aimee(sideblog), hit up that nifty lil ask button or tag us in something and let's do the thing!!Â
âWho are you looking for?â Nadi asked, tentatively. Nadi didnât have any good luck with the Jackalâs. They didnât usually like her. The tigers sort of tolerated her, but it was usually the Arcadianâs who tolerated her.Â
Lydia began looking around, not trying to be rude as the other was talking but unfamiliar with her settings and it made her antsy. Turning her attention back to the tiger before her, she debated whether or not to bother telling her; the chances of the tiger actually knowing him were quite slim but unfortunately any chance was better than none. "His name's Solin. He's a real close friend of mine and I haven't seen him in a few weeks. He's tall, black hair, most likely really well dressed. Usually white suit, well tailored. Seen anyone like that around lately?"Â
ââŠ.JackalâŠâ
âWell thanks for clearing that up, I wasnât sure for a minute there.â She inclined her head curiously to the other, taking in a whiff of her scent. âTiger, yeah?âÂ
Nadi eyed the other, she was constantly weary of other Were Hunters, no matter if they were Arcadian or Katagarian. âYes, Tiger.â Mostly.
Lydia followed the other's eyes, noting how she was sizing her up. Obviously self aware being around a jackal. Her kind wasn't exactly, honored among the were hunters like the other breeds. "Don't worry, I'm not here to kill you or anything like that. I'm actually just looking for someone so you can relax, mikrĂ̱ tĂgri̱."Â
âYes?â
âOh well this must be a whole new level of paradox, two tigers in one day.â
âItâs probably your lucky day.â
"Uh yeah, sure, let's go with that. So, Rajette, got a name?"

Sanctuary Bio
In the heart of the Vieux Carre, Sanctuary is the place to come and see some of the hottest bands and men on the planet. We cater to the rowdy and the wild at heart.
Our rules are simple and are stated on a marquee as you enter: Come In Peace, Or Leave In Pieces. Your attitude is welcome, but check any and all weapons at the door. This is the place to come and hang out, be seen, and just drink and eat in peace. Our policy is to Do No Harm and No Spill Blood. Anyone who has trouble with this will get a first class ticket out the door by our owner who is fondly known as Papa Bear.
Papa Bear doesnât play.
We have only one dress code. No bare feet (Harley boots preferred). Leather clothes will get you served faster and better, but we welcome the tamer crowd, too. BTW, if youâre really cute, you get served fastest of all.
We have pool tables, video machines and pinball, and poker tournaments three nights a week. Our menu is varied, but specializes in Cajun and carnivorous specialties (special menus available upon request). All meats are served fresh from the kill that morning with a loving smile.
At night we really let our hair down and host a variety of local and regional bands and music, but our specialty is Heavy Metal and we are home to New Orleansâ own: The Howlers.
On the third Saturday of the month, we hold a special âWrestle the Bearâ night. If you beat the bear, you eat for free. Of course no oneâs ever eaten for free, but you might be the first. Itâs $40.00 to wrestle the bear and everyone who wrestles gets a free t-shirt for effort or you can purchase your own âI fought the bearâ shirt. Incidentally, you must be over 21 and willing to sign a waiver before you get a shot at the bear.

Dream - Hunters:
Sired by the gods of sleep, nightmares and dreams, we are the children of Mist (and at times human mothers).
Traditionally called the Oneroi, we are what protect the humans, Apollites, and immortals while they slumber. We are the Dream Warriors. The ones who battle the Skoti Daimons and demons who drain the energy, dreams and life from sleepers.
During the light of day, we walk among the humans as unknown phantoms. And whenever human eyes happen upon us, they immediately glance away without registering our presence (unless we will it otherwise).
Most of us are devoid of emotions (except for pain which is a physical response). Those who have been cursed to no emotions can only feel while in a dream state with a human or immortal host. But therein lies the dangerâsome of us come to crave emotions like a drug.
Instead of being observers and protectors, they become dream instigators- controllers of the host. Should the evil Skotos continue to drain his/her victim, madness will descend and threaten us all. Hence the creation of a Dream-Hunter. Certain members of the Oneroi have been chosen to patrol the Skoti, and ensure they do not prey upon those who sleep.
We are also helpers to the Dark-Hunters and Were-Hunters working as a go-between when they need help from the gods or healing.

Were - Hunters:
Our Gennisi (Beginning)
Come with me, modern traveler, back to a time that has been shrouded by mystery. Back to an ancient legend that has been mostly forgotten. Or at the very leastâŠ
Distorted.
We see remnants of it in our advanced world. What present-day mortal doesnât know to fear the light of the full moon? To fear the howl of a wolf? The cry of a hawk? To look with caution into the darkest alleys. Not in fear of human predators, but in fear of something else.
Something dark. Dangerous. Something even deadlier than our human counterparts.
But mankind didnât always hold this fear. Indeed, there was a time once, long ago, when humans were humans and animals were animals.
Until the day of the Allagi. They say the birth of the Were-Hunters, like most great evils, started out with only the best of intentions.
King Lycaon of Arcadia had no idea that when he wed, his precious, beloved queen wasnât human. His wife held within her a dark secret. She was born to the cursed Apollite race and was destined to die in the heart of her youth⊠at age twenty-seven.
It wasnât until her last birthday when Lycaon watched his beloved die horribly of old age that he realized the two sons she had born him would follow her to an early grave.
Grief-stricken, he had sought out his priests who all told him there was nothing he could do. Fate was fate.
But Lycaon refused to heed their wisdom. He was a sorcerer and he was determined that no one would steal his sons away from him. Not even the Fates themselves.
And so he set about using his magick to elongate the lives of his wifeâs people. Capturing them, he magically spliced their essence with various animals who were known for their strength: Bears, panthers, leopards, hawks, lions, tigers, jackals, wolves and even dragons.
As he blended the animal with the psychically enhanced Apollites, two creatures were created. One that held a human heart. One that held the animalâs. Each one possessed traits of the other. No longer human, no longer animal, it was a bastard hybrid of the two species.
He spent years perfecting his new race, until at last he was sure heâd found the cure for his sons. Blending them with a dragon and a wolf, the strongest of the animals he had experimented with, he imbued them with more strength and magic than any of the others. In truth, he gave of his own power to them.
In the end, he received more than even he had bargained for. Not only did his sons have longer lives than his wife, they had longer lives than any known species.
With their magical abilities and animal strength, they now lived ten to twelve times longer than any human.
The Fates looked down and saw what the proud king had done. Angry at his interference into their domain, the Fates decreed that he must kill his sons and all like them.
Lycaon refused.
It was then the Fates sought out their own form of punishment for his hubris. His children and all like them were cursed anew.
âThere will never be peace among your children,â Clotho, the Fate who spins the threads of life, proclaimed. âThey will spend eternity hating and fighting until the day when the last of them breathes no more.â
And so it was. Whenever Lycaon blended an animal with a human, he, in fact, made two beings. One being who held an animalâs heart and one who held a human heart.
Those who walked as men and who held human hearts were termed Arcadians after their Lycaonâs people. Those who held animal hearts were termed Katagaria.
The Katagaria were born as animals and lived as animals, yet once they reached puberty, when the magical powers were unlocked by their hormones, they would be able to become human- at least externally. Their animal hearts would always govern their actions.
Likewise, the Arcadians were born as humans and lived as humans until their puberty brought with it their magic and their ability to shift into animal form.
Two sides of a single coin, the two species should have been at peace. Instead, the goddesses sent Discordia to plant mistrust between them. The Arcadians felt themselves superior to their animal cousins. After all, they were humans with human rationale while the Katagaria were only animals who could take human form.
The Katagaria learned quickly that the Arcadians werenât honest about their intentions and would say one thing, then do another.
All throughout time, the two groups have preyed upon each other while each side took the moral high ground. The animals believe the Arcadians are the real threat while the Arcadians believe the Katagaria must be controlled or put down.
It is an endless war.
And as with all wars, there has never been a true victor. There have only been casualties who still suffer from the prejudice and unfounded hatred.Â
