hey um im starting highschool next yr, i know im super young but any advice on preib and ib in general and what its like?

Alright so looking back in was honestly pretty easy (except for those times when ia's were all due at the same time) but really the biggest thing that I can tell you is just to stay on top of big assignments. I'm not saying start your EE the moment you get it (cause I sure didn't) but don't wait until the week end before it is fr due (like I did). Your 2 years in preib should get you prepared but also figure out how to write good essays because that'll come in handy later on when they actually matter

I am starting the IB next semester! How is math studies? Math is my worst subject (always has been) and I am so afraid that it's going to be too hard for me... Any advice, tips or experiences that could help a desperate soul out there? 😅💗

I've always done well in math and I took math studies. I never took notes or even paid attention in class and still got a 7. With that said it is very easy and my friends that were always bad at math and while there were difficult units they never really had a problem. (Some topics are as easy as simple math like addition, and some are difficult like "intro to differential calculus") If you try to understand what you have trouble with the course and the test will be very easy!

Okay so I wanted to initially take HL Math, Art and English and SL Physics, Business and French as those were the prerequisites for Architecture. However, I have a course conflict where I can't take HL math no matter what so now I have chosen to take SL Math and HL Economics instead of SL Business. I just wanted to if this affects my chances of getting into good unis?

I don't think it will have much effect. Ib is still a rigorous school course, so that will probably show through more than your choice of HL's and SL's. The only difference may be any college credit for your architecture path.

Hey sorry for the late response. It is 3 written papers (5 or 6 essays in total) because different teachers focus on different things.

AP students: 3 copies of color coded notes, homework done neatly and completely, taking the sanity route, excellent time management, prepared for their tests, good grades, all succeeding, and generally on top of things.

IB students: high hopes and dreams but horrible work ethic, pretends like the IAs and senior year tests will never happen, procrastinates like crazy, crams for tests the period before and in groups in the hallways, snapchatting and texting their fellow IB peers minutes before an extended essay is due, never taking the sanity route, it's accepted to sleep in class, wrinkled homework and scribbled notes, and mutual failure.
